She was awful. I KNEW I wasn't making enough milk for my daughter and instead told me at a few weeks that I wasn't trying hard enough, that giving her formula was bad even though the baby's doctor said if she went longer than 6 hours with NO wet diaper I had to give her a bottle (she was 4 weeks old). I finally just quit when I had to have my gall bladder removed a few weeks later. I come to find out that my daughter had a severe tongue and lip tie AND I have thyroid issues that had been missed for years (not her fault). I refused to go back there for my second pregnancy. I had so much more support for my second who latched better and ate better but sadly my thyroid issue still didn't allow me to make enough but it was so much easier to switch with out a doctor who bullied me about it and made me a feel like a bad mom every time. I cried EVERY time I left her office. My baby was starving, I see the signs now and as soon as we switched her to formula she finally started to grow and stopped losing weight. I had warned every one about this doctor and I refuse to see her again.

Appointments sometimes run over, which means important care is not rushed, but sometimes the next appointment might be delayed. I've moved out of the area a few times, but ALWAYS come back to Nan for my children's health care. Advice nurse always calls back quickly on serious matters, everyone is caring, genuine, and helpful! :-)

Dr. Dahlquist is constantly updating her knowledge on pediatric medicine. Between the birth of my first child and the second, she learned of new ways to welcome newborns into the world and it made such a difference to my second child. She has an astounding ability to diagnose and treat problems, yet it is obvious that she LOVES kids. Regarding timeliness, if you have a medical issue that requires more than the typical 15 minute visit, Dr. Dahlquist has no problem taking the time to root out the cause rather than booting you out. There have been times when I've seen another doctor or nurse-practitioner when Dr. Dahlquist is really late. The staff at the Hillsboro Pediatric Clinic are all first rate, efficient professionals. I'm so fortunate to have Dr. Dahlquist for my kids!

My daughter has had lots of health problems. Nan has been the first doctor to be able to figure them out and not look at her with a puzzled look everytime she comes in. Sometimes she is ot puncual, but that is due to the fact she will take the time needed to help the patient. She is very knowledable and will go out of her way to seek information. Very good at talking with a child and having them communicate what is going on.

Very supportive and caring doc; my children really responded to her. Appointments usually would run late and you definitely cannot or you will lose your appointment!

I have three young children and always took them to Dahlquist. She was always very helpful and answered any and all questions. She wasn't afraid to ask other dr's come in and check something out on the child if needed as well. She is fully supportive of decisions the parent makes and is esp supportive of breastfeeding, which was great! I wish we hadn't moved so I could still take my kids to her!
