One chooses a physician at Chesterfield Family Practice who is experienced. But when u call for an appointmt u will presented with the option to see an experienced DR in several weeks or a resident that day. Dr Anderson oversees a number of residence physicians. Their oversight is lacking all too often which results in patients have to expend additional time in office visits. I found this to be true with other physicans there also. The unfriendly staff is compartmentalized in numerous small rooms around the building hampering interaction. Although "the nurse" was referred to frequently in over 5 years I have yet to actually meet/see a nurse there (perhaps she/he is over-seas). The conversion to electronic records has degregated patient care since few really understand the system. The automated phone system is rigid & downright nasty. CFP is affiliated with a VCU Medical school, thus should be setting a high standard of how things should be done. The are failing in most respects.
