As a couple, I'm sure we have far too much negative about Ms. McKnight than will fit in 1000 characters or less. I also refuse to address this woman as "doctor" as her demeanor is just that - demeaning. She has the bedside manner of an angry asp, and on every visit , refused to clearly explain the medical jargon she so liberally threw around. The final straw for us came when I was in the hospital, pregnant with our second child, and unbeknownst to us at the time, an ovarian cyst had ruptured. We were terrified and in the ICU with an already high-risk pregnancy. Miss McKnight had refused to explain to us what was going on, and when both my husband and I became irritated with her, SHE WALKED OUT AND REFUSED TO TREAT ME! She said, "you can find another doctor; I don't owe you an explanation for anything!" The staff at Alexandria Hospital told us that Miss McKnight had walked out on other patients too; this woman should have her medical license revoked.

I did NOT have a pleasant experience with Dr. McKnight or her office staff. Because I was only 12 mins late to my FIRST appointment with her, I was told that I would have to reschedule. Being that I was coming from 3 cities away and took time off of work I was very upset. They would not see me either. I left and will NEVER return to that office. I think that is TERRIBLE business practice, and to avoid her name being ran in the MUD she should get with her partners and consider changing that ASAP!!!!

I liked Dr. McKnight. She was friendly and knowledgable. However, the nurses and staff are not great. My results were never posted, when I called they gave me results for someone else, never called me back after several messages. So, I will not be going back there.

The nurses do not really communicate with each other; the reception staff is not that friendly. I had a miscarriage and different nurses called me with different results. They were insensitive about the fact that I had a miscarriage, and they did not read my chart or health history before delivering test results. Dr. McKnight herself was friendly and quite helpful, but I saw her only for 10 minutes and most of the time had to deal with the insensitive and incompetent nurses!

I saw Dr. McKnight for a number of years before moving out of Alexandria. If you saw her on a good day, she was extremely nice, but she could be very abrupt and make insensitive comments. Even though I was having a problem which caused me to make many trips to the doctor, she didn't act like she knew my situation very well. Nurses did not return phone calls promptly, even in time-sensitive situations. Overall, Dr. McKnight is a competent, knowledgeable physician but I was ultimately left unsatisfied with my care there.

Seems friendly, but not always. Brief prenatal visits, but when I went in for a gyno question (painful postpartum sex) she blew me off, saying, use lube or take a bath first. Irked me.

I'm very picky about doctors, but Dr. McKnight and her nurse were both wonderful! Establishing new doctors is never easy, but I felt immediately at ease, and she was friendly, calming (I had to have an unpleasant procedure), and walked me through every step. The time I spent in the waiting room and the exam room were very reasonable, and the reception staff was professional and friendly. I've found my ob/gyn!

I saw her when my doc was on vacation and I found a breast lump. She was competent and reassuring....said she knew it was not cancer from the feel of it but sent me for evaluation anyway. I liked her.
