Biography

Dr. Balog, part of HVA Medical Group, is board certified in cardiovascular disease, clinical cardiac electrophysiology and internal medicine, with additional certification in nuclear cardiology. His primary clinical interest is heart rhythm disorders, including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, syncope, and supraventricular and ventricular tachycardia. He has expertise in cardiac resynchronization therapy, radiofrequency catheter ablation and hybrid ablation procedures, pacemaker and ICD implants, and left atrial appendage closure procedures. Dr. Balog received his MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He did an internal medicine residency at the Boston University School of Medicine and a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at North Shore-LIJ Health System, followed by a clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, in Philadelphia. He is a fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society. In addition to English, he is conversant in Spanish.
