Geez are you SO FREAKING SELFISH!!! This poor man, who did nothing but try to relieve the pain and suffering of others, was so overcome by circumstances that he committed suicide! And all you can do is whine that YOU'VE BEEN ABANDONED?! Get over yourself!!!

I too am afraid as my love one has now been left with no physician. I am very hurt that he could leave so abruptly (close to abandonment)and leave us with the task to find someone in such a short notice. He was such a blessing and I pray only the best for him but what are we to do! is this the way he left his other practice? My loveone is freaking out trying to find someone else when there is not much of a alternative in Denver. I am scared by the loveone.

My son has been a patient of his for about 2 years now and I have been so blessed to get him to see my son. For the first time you have a physician that is genuine. Yes, there may be a delay in seeing him or his other staff but the best care if worth waiting for. Dr. Brookoff has done a lot for him especially since the other 4 physicians my son was seeing was terrible and had horrible bedside manners. I have been in the healthcare field for 34 years now and I can say without a doubt that if you are able to get in to see him; please do- do not get discourage by the wait time as you will not be sorry. In this medical world how many of you can say that you have a physician (and staff) that will not rush you and take their time in treating you. He has been a blessing!!!

I love Dr. Brookhoff. He is an incredibly special doctor. I have a brain malformation and experience horrendous headaches and nerve pain. This went untreated for many years because I gave up on western medicine and started to question myself. Many doctors acted as though I had depression until they finally found the disorder on the MRI. Now that there is solid clinical evidence that my pain comes from my cerebellar tonsils being in my spine, the doctors finally believe me. Dr. Brookhoff believes the patients and assumes the patient is telling the truth about their pain. He is a very special caring person, and the medical field could learn a lesson or two about how to treat people from him. You would be very lucky to call him your doctor.

When he went on his own to pres st lukes he went from the best of my dr to the worst. He is always late. my appt were usually 10min appt and i would wait up to many hours. He would double book or conveniently have meetings and make you sit. Staff would not tell you. He could not remember his patients from visit to vist. I went to him for approx 3yrs and could not remember me. He would always write the perscription wrong and omg his staff is terrible. They are rude and I would walk out in tears from them. When i confront him about it he would say how bad a dr he is. When i had a question never got a call back. If he stayed with the practice that brought him out here he would be ok. On his own was a big mistake. I think he staff brought him down. I had to leave his practice to save my sanity.

Dr. Brookhoff is the best doctor I've ever had. On my first appointment he sat with me for two hours to figure out what was going on with my body and how I was handling it. He has made dealing with IC bearable. When I first went to him, I was at the point of a breakdown. That I am living as normal life as is possible is due to him.

I would NEVER recommend this doctor unless you are looking to be highly medicated for long periods with no results!! Not to mention that he is a pain doctor that makes his patients wait for a good 45 minutes, plus.

Dr. Brookoff has proven himself to be very comprehensive in his care for my chronic pain problem. He has been open and honest with me when I expressed concerns with reference to the difference between dependance (physical) and addiction. He is the first Doctor in 20 years that has helped me long term, recognizing my need to control pain to a level that allows me to work without undue effects on my mental state. The only time I have had to sit longer than a few minutes waiting for him was when someone in extreme pain required acute care. I'm glad he took this woman first. I watched her come in crying in a wheel chair, and watched her walk out smiling. Doctor Brookoff is awesome.
