Always on time and has plenty of time to go over any concerns I may have. Referrals to specialists provided when needed.

Excellent doctor overall. There is nothing special about healthpointe, but I’m glad he’s still seeing me for my sports injuries.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!! YOU'RE RESULT WILL BE ZERO!!!
I have bicep distal tendon and tear on my forearm, I have wasted my time going to this doctor for a period of year and half , every time I visit there is a new assistant and I have to explain everything each time I visited, I have done 3 ultrasounds, a Nerve conduction and Xray, he still wants me making me to go for another nerve conduction for no reason, every time I visit him he doesn't assess you his assistant will assess he will show up at the end advise a new test or make you try some new medication, such a waste of time and money! He's simply making money for doing nothing.

So Please don't waste you're time, you won't get any positive result except running around.

My story seems to be very much like the other reviews here. When I showed up for my appointment the front staff said it was cancelled, I showed them the confirmation that I recieved on my phone, so they said they would fit me in. This was my fourth visit and was told I would be getting an injection. When Dr. Karpman came into the room, he looked at me condition said well thats wierd maybe we will have to take a biobsy. I said "another one". Dr Karpman said oh did we do that already, then he proceeded to say well the good news is it's nothing!!!!!! He had already given me the diagnosis 2 visits ago! What a waste of time, he is not fit to be a Doctor of anything......................
Don't waste your time going to see him.

Dr. Karpman is very arrogant and rude. He claimed that because I had cancelled 3 previous appointments that he was only going to refer me to Lifemark for pain management. The original so called cancellation was not my fault. It was an error from his staff in believing they sent me appt info. This was prior to them moving to the new office in Ellerslie. I had not received that appointment request as they claimed to have sent. Regardless he reprimanded and humiliated me for cancelled appointments? These were NOT no show appointments, they were cancelled. I gave proper notice. My last appointment he said I never confirmed it so they cancelled it themselves. Please note these were in between cancelled apointments that were years apart. My family doc forgets that I don't like HealthPointe. He refers me, I go and then realize I can't afford treatments past what the Government will cover. So then I don't want to bother as there is no point to it. Years go by, I am still suffering, doc refers me back to HealthPointe again and by now I have forgotten too as to why I don't want to go there. I will make sure to remember now

As I was leaving (he thought I was gone), but I got lost and had to come back around and he was proudly talking to a staff member about how he would be done early and be able to leave by 3:45pm. So basically he accepted my family doctors referral knowing he was going to chastise me and not provide treatment. To add insult he said he was referring me to Lifemark because HealthPointe's first treatments are free and afterwards you have to pay for them. I told him I wasn't working so he knew I didn't have medical coverage. I will NEVER recommend this doctor and please save yourself the trouble from having to be subjected to humiliation. This is not a caring man unless you have money or are upper class.

I visited Karpman at HealthPointe which is a pain clinic, so maybe he was a better family doctor.

I have a complicated medical history and am working towards recovery but pain is limiting my physio so I am in need of managing the pain so that I can make progress in hopes to eliminate the pain altogether. Karpman poked me a few times and then simply told me I'd be referred to go get injections into my spine. I had to ask him three times "shots of what" before he told me cortisone, which was a strange choice because my pain isn't from inflammation but I figured I'd go though the hoops to get to what I need. When I arrived for my next appointment for my 'shots' the doctor was confused and told me I wasn't there for shots, and that cortisone wouldn't help me at all anyways based on what he saw. Karpman was dismissive, misinformative, and not communicative about my options or what was going to happen.

They couldn't even get my name, despite providing my healthcare card. I corrected them, but no one seen it as their responsibility to change my records for the next person I would meet in this office. Dr Karpman did not address my request to discuss pain management, just told me to come back for a cortisone injection. I was provided a prescription form, again, with the wrong name. That is not patient centered care, and in fact, does not meet the standard of care. Total failure.

Waited 4 years to see an orthopaedic surgeon for a painful swollen lump on my ankle. Seeing Dr. Karpman was a waste of time and an extremely frustrating and painful experience. First time I saw him he stuck a needle in my ankle several times then squeezed out the puss without any freezing very painful, wouldn’t recommend this procedure! Told me to make a second appointment to have the sac that contained the pus surgically removed. The second time he could not remove the sac because his staff did not book enough time for the surgery even though I was specific about it being a day surgery appointment. The third time I saw him he said he didn’t document the previous appointment and asked why I was there. When I refreshed his memory he decided that he could not do the surgery because it was over a bone and he was worried about infection. He is referring me to a plastic surgeon. Wondering why he didn’t notice it was over a bone during the first appointment and also why I wasn’t informed of these concerns three months ago when I had the first appointment. Definitely would not recommend Health Pointe if you want competent informed care.
