Adult surgeries are not a priority for this Dr. Do not waste your time . After waiting for over a year thinking his staff had put me on the surgery list last year, I learned today that it was not the case. He put me on the list today and told me it would take years before he gets through the backlog. So the 20 min surgery that will change my life and get my autonomy back will not be done for another unknown number pf years. What a waste of my life ! I now have to look for another ophthalmologist that does adult strabismus surgery if I want to ever get that surgery done and SEE again!

I was a patient of Dr. Budning back when I was 6 months old till I was about 19 years old. He was the one that found out that I had strabismus and amblyopia along with being super far sighted and gave me glasses at the age 1 years old. His clinic is super busy and he is a super busy doctor as well, he can’t be super quick and sloppy at times but my parents were moderately satisfied with his service.
Front desk staff was and has always been super rude. He got ride of me as my case started to be less severe.

Are all the negative reviews true? I'd say yes. Office is outdated, wifi would be nice for those long visits but meh. Staff is as stale as a 3 week bag of chips. Is Dr. Budning helpful, knowledgeable and one of the best in his field yes! This office is crazy busy, Covid has slowed it down, but for how busy and how many ppl they help, i'd say efficient. Being in the health field, I know there's always going to be things that don't go perfectly all the time and that you can't please everyone all the time. My 3 year old son was thrown around from appointment to appointment, glasses to glasses by other Dr's, Budning saw him once and he finally had his surgery 5 months later and has thrived for the last 3 years. I'll take skill over a fancy office any day

My 3 year old daughter has been a patient of Dr. Budning for over a year now. He has always taken the time to answer our questions, put us at ease and determine the right course of treatment. His knowledge and caring personality is invaluable. Our daughter had a surgery in Feb 2020 and her strabismus has been improved since. Words can not express how grateful we are for Dr. Budning!

My 2 year old son saw Dr. budning for a strabismus repair in July 2020. Dr. Budning went above and beyond to make me comfortable and at ease with the operation. The surgery went amazing and I am so happy Dr Budning was able to do the surgery in this unprecedented times with covid.

The front office lady is horrible , it is an understatement , if there was a rating below 1 star , I would give that. They do not answer phones and there is no facility to leave voice messages and the emails are the same automated replies , they do not even change that. Worst is when I said , I was not sure if I was supposed to show up because of the present conditions of Covid and I did not hear from your office in my emails . I would not have brought my daughter in , the front office lady assumes my daughter has flu and says I used the word flu which in my entire conversation I had not even used , she should get her ears tested and according to her I should go to a public health. If my daughter really had flu , would that not my priority instead of Dr Budning ‘s appointment , if the staff is not knowledgeable and horrible , wonder how the doctor would be , Does he ever check how his staff is with his patients. Anyways I am not going to this doctor. My first ever experience itself has been bad so would not consider taking my daughter to him . Staff is negative star rating to the infinity.

Dr Budning and his assistants are very good. We have been taking our daughter to his clinic for years. They correctly diagnosed and gave her correct prescription for her glasses. We were previously given a wrong prescription by a private Dr. When it was determined that she will need surgery to correct the issue, Dr Budning's confident and re-assuring manner made our worry less. The surgery was successful and the results have been good and have solved her eye problem. There is often a long wait time and in his office but not always. Staff is courteous.

I found Dr. Budning to be extremely caring, and knowledgeable. Although there was typically a wait in the office, it was explained to me that there are extremely few pediatric eye specialists, and each patient has to be cared for. and as a result the doctor often falls behind. Despite the comments I have seen I don't rate my or my children's doctors by the TV's in the waiting room, or décor, I rate them by the result. Dr. Budning has always taken the time to explain in detail my daughters eye issues , and has treated her with professionalism and caring. She has improved amazingly under his treatment and I am so thankful for his expertise.
