Dr Brooke’s manner represented a true interest and honest listening at every appointment. I felt “heard” and conversation was therapy. This professionalism was clearly needed for me. I came away with the ability to dialogue with myself as “carry over” as needed when my sessions were through. I felt very fortunate to have this caring, professional friend!!

Very rude and unprofessional. I feel a doctor shouldn't use 'damn' in a professional environment.

Was of great help to me and worked with me when I had insurance issues. I can honestly say I wouldn't be here without him. I moved out of the area but miss him and his advice daily. During my worst times he told me to call him day or night if I needed him. When progress was made HE suggested less frequent visits; getting my money was not his priority, my mental health was.

A failure of a psychologist. As others have said just takes notes, unhelpful at best. My other family members said the same thing after sessions with him. Then my grandmother died and he was almost cruel in what he said. I would rather die than give this man more hard earned money for his rude demeaner and worthless sessions.

Very arrogant and absolutely no bedside manner. Very rude to my family as the advocates for my family member.

I question his own mental health. Should absolutely not be in this profession.

He just took notes. Was of no help. Gave no advice. Could have been doodling.

One staff person was visible on one occasion. Takes notes, no treatment recommended after appointments which lasted way too long. Asks you if you'll come back in a phoney but in attempt to be sincere manner, which is in sharp contrast to his previous demeanor. Asks few questions which seemed rather twisted to me and made me wonder about his mental state. May make a good person to borrow notes from for a test, would have to review the notes to determine their quality. Nice office which was well furnished, however he seems rather short on clients or patients, could have been a slow time or the way he schedules. Rather impersonal approach, sits behind a desk located 15 to 18 feet from where he indicates you should sit. Limited eye contact, constant note taking. Should learn shorthand. I did not think he was cold in manner, rather that he was distant, detached and periodically entertained and then abruptly over solicitous.

I found him compassionate and his direct, no-nonsense approach was helpful. After conversation, he explained how he could and could not be of help. And he explained what would be expected of me. He also went beyond what was expected in an emergency situation.
