Dr. Simon has been my doc for 28 years. Always punctual and he explains things in a way that is understandable. One of the best in my opinion.

I can not say anything bad about Dr. Simon however , I find the amount his office charges for medical insurance forms to be filled out is outrageous! Unfortunately, we live in a province where it's not easy to seek out alternative Doctors. For an office to charge $200 for less than 1.5 pages of something required - in order for a patient, who is struggling medically, to be covered financially by a health care plan is criminal.
I know many Doctors who do not even charge. So where is the gap ?
I found his staff rude and unhelpful. With no real answers to my questions.

Never answers the phone, phones are turned off! Very much into natural remedies (that don't help)

Dr. Simon and staff are professional,yet personal.Dr S is thorough in his exams and listens.He will not prescribe meds if the solution is diet/exercise/stop smoking. It makes you get off the couch instead of continuing in a dangerous course. I like his style because he caught my little daughter's very faint heart murmur which turned out would have been terminal if not caught. We had just gone in for strep throat. For that type of thoroughness with my child's health I will manage to not sulk when I get on the scale. It's me that loves nachos and cheese too much with a beer. Not him. He is trying to keep us from being walking heart attacks and a have a good standard of life. That is why I rate the entire office 5*.

Does not appear to listen. Received referrals for serious matters only when assistants were taking his place.

Historically doctor Simon has been a great doctor until recently. I was injured about 3 years ago, and all I was told was NSAID drugs and physio. We tried every drug twice, but to no avail.the only reason I received my MRI scan is because I saw his student doctor. It literally took me passing out and being rushed to the hospital before I received my correct pain medication. Only to return to his office to be denied my medication to be refilled because its "addicting", I understand the concern but I had zero quality of life. I spent 3 years in bed, suffering in pain. Shouldn't that nullify any concern for dependence when a young person has to spend their life in bed? It also seems like no matter what I come to him with it's always a joke, and If I'm not firm with him, I get laughed off and my problem isn't looked after. All in all he is a good doctor, just sometimes he makes me wonder if he still has any passion for his work.
