This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with any doctor! I would NEVER recommend Dr Stan George!!

Dr. George saved our daughter's (3 years old) vision, he performed a cornea patch/transplant on her at the IWK. He was very polite and professional and in his words "treated her as though she was his own". :)

Have been a patient for 8+ years. Dr. George is an outstanding practitioner in caring foru ears. He is busy, yes but he is thorough and proactive. Some may interpret his personality as unfriendly or uncaring. He and I get along fine. I don't need him to be my best friend, I need an intelligent, knowledgeable practitioner to provide excellent care for my eyes. He told me that is what he would do and he has, with excellence.

I must say I am very pleased with both his staff and Dr. George, he is always pleasant with my Mother and will repeat any answers to questions he might have. The time he spent with her and the way he operated is both fast and efficient. The surgery was a great success and my Mom is so happy with him. The staff, especially Dolly is awesome. It is great to go somewhere and know that the very best is being done for my Mom. Thank you Dr. George and thank you to the staff.

I can understand some comments as his bedside manner could be interpreted as being abrupt to the more sensitive.However I have no complaints about him or his work. His staff however is another thing. I have repeatedly tried to call with no answer (or answering service/machine). The staff member who administers the eye drops is certainly abrupt and rough. She should work on an assembly line somewhere (else).

I was recommended to him with an eye infection that my previuos eye doctor didn't have any idea what it was. I went to him several times and each time he gave me some new eye drops or ointment to put in my eyes (all antibiotics). He never knew what was wrong. He had me have pictures of my eyes done twice, i had blood work and even a chest xray, didn't know why i needed any of it. he wasn't helpful in assuring me that i was ok or telling me what the problem was. was not happy going to him.

I had to have a cataract operation recently and I tell you Dr.Stan George was the best eye doctor I have gone to so far ,he was gentle and very good when he done it ,if any one has to have anything done to their eyes ,Dr. Stan George is the doctor to do it. Gloria Parsons -Halifax,N.S.

This doctor has a god complex, he can diagnose without even looking at the patients chart. Maybe if he did he wouldn't be so rude and indignant when disagreed with.

Dr. George is extremely skilled in the area of corneal transplants. The Lord used him to do 2 corneal transplants (one in each eye) for me. He is very professional and is totally concerned with giving the best transplant possible. He is a great surgeon, very careful, efficient and protective. If there is any issue with the cornea he'll see you or take care of you. Praise God for the skill he has given to Dr. George. Dr. George is one of the best!!! vm

I was not impressed with this Dr. He kept me waiting for a very long time and when he did come in the room the exam was very quick, less than 5 minutes. He was not very helpful so I felt this was a big waste of my time
