This doctor took 9 years of my mother’s life. He was her doctor and was treating her for Parkinson’s that he diagnosed her with. The medication he prescribed her through the years just didn’t work. The more and more he changed her medication or up the does she still seemed to get worse. She ended up moving in with me and my family . She couldn’t hardly walk, couldn’t drive anymore, and would just shake uncontrollably when when she moved in with me we were remodeling her end of the house and we were constantly going to Lowe’s or Walmart… during one of those rides to the hardware store she road with me and she ended up missing her noon medication. Well doing this she realized she felt better until she took her night medication. She spoke to me about it and told me she was going to wine herself off of it. And she did completely and got all her motor skills back , she is now walking and driving. Well her next appointment with the doctor she walked up in there without her cane and strutting her stuff. Yes you guessed it THE DOCTOR HAD MISSED DIAGNOSED HER. That’s when he packed up and moved to Alaska.

My son has been seeing this doctor for seizure meds for 15 years. We always hated the wait, but the doc was always kind to my son and explained why he had to take the meds. When he called this week to confirm his appt we found out that he is closed. No notice, no letter, no phone call. Last year he enquired to get his medical records and they had moved all his records to a storage facility. Who knows where they are now. Horrible.

I hated having to take my mom to see David Rankine because he was always short, rude, and it took all day to see him. My mom's condition worsened after he started started seeing her, he put her on medicine that turned her into a zombie, no quality of life at all...then worse, he abandoned her to pick up his practice and move it to Alaska with not even so much as a heads up. She has Parkinson's and NO neurologist. He put all of his patient's lives in jeopardy, all Chattanooga neurologists in back log and I personally hope he gets eaten by a bear and what's left over gets dragged through an icy lake by an elk in Anchorage Alaska. Patients there need to beware.... he'll do the same to you whenever he gets good and ready. Worst "doctor" ever!!

Dr. Rankine was my neurologist for roughly 15 years. I called his office in September regarding an upcoming appointment and got, "The number you have reached is no longer in service" message. He's in Anchorage, AK now. I wonder if his new patients know what he did to his patients in Chattanooga? What about the Hippocratic Oath. All med students must take it. In part of the oath doctors swear to "do no harm." According medschool.ucla.edu a lot of today's oaths swear by “'whatever each of us holds most sacred,'or they simply begin with a promise to uphold medical principles.'" Hmmm..

We always had to wait hours to see Dr. Rankine and then he left Chattanooga with no notice to patients.

Dr Rankins was my husband's neurologist. When he called to get refill on his medicine we found out he is no longer in practice in Chattanooga. He up and left with no letter, no nothing. That was very un profession of him. I hope if he's still in practice somewhere he doesn't do this to them

Dr. Rankine is rude. It was my first time seeing him because my original neurologist was booked for another month. Questions and concerns were met with belittling responses. He really made me feel ignorant with the concerns I had. I will never see him again and will be finding another neurology center.
