I hve been a diabetic for over 50 years, Dr Cheng is an excellent doctor, discusses things and with the trillium diabetic clinic put me on the insulin pump. This was the best move I have ever made, A1C's are always around 7 , with CGM they are dropping . Highly recommend Dr. Cheng. Staff are friendly and I get reminder call for all appointments ( not very common these days).

She is great! My only issue, is the constant Med change. Makes it very difficult to lose weight

I love Dr Cheng! I am a Type 1 Diabetic and I've been seeing her for over 10 years now. I have to say that I do like that she gets straight to the point. When I first started seeing her, I really needed a lot of help. I was seeing her every 3 months to stay on top of everything.

I was referred to her by my [then] family Doctor (who I despised), and she got me a referral to another one that I absolutely loved. She always asks how I'm doing. She also referred me to the Diabetic Health Center, who I've been working with for as long as I've seen her, and gets regular updates from them. They make sure the insulin is working the way it should, and that I get the adjustments I need as soon as possible. Because let's be real..Dr Cheng's a busy lady. Dr Cheng's job is to make sure that I am taking care of myself, I have the tools I need to control my Diabetes, to make sure my A1Cs are getting to and staying where they should be, and she is helping me get where I need to be for pregnancy.

She is sometimes a bit late (maybe 5/10mins max), but she has a lot of patients, and I always take the latest possible appointment I can.

LOVE the receptionist as well! Super friendly

What a shocker - people with hormonal balances below being moody about evaluating their endocrinologist. Dr. Cheng is fantastic. She doesn't sit around with you for 30 min to chit chat because she is a busy specialist with a large roster of patients, who is trying to stay on time! I've been seeing her for over 10 years for a thyroid condition and she (and her staff) always remember to ask about personal details of my life; even to the point where she came to visit myself and my family at the hospital when one of my family members was in palliative care. I've never doubted her expertise once. If you are equating a warm and fuzzy doctor with expertise, then may I suggest you are referred to a pediatrician.

You are just another number to her. She takes no time to ask you how you are or to lusten to your concerns. You go in, she reviews her plan for you on her computer, prints off a bunch of lab requests and that's it. Has not helped me in 8 years.

Saw Dr. Cheng for a year about some diabetes-related issue. I really liked how she was direct/concise with her explanations. She doesn't really sugar-coat stuff, whip out medical terms left and right, or put on airs (as doctors are accustomed to doing). She is great at helping you deal with your medical issue and understanding it.

Waited a long time to see Dr, Cheng, I felt like a number. She was pretty abrupt, and she refused to acknowledge my symptoms and just said I needed to lose weight. However, after my blood was taken, she prescribed meds.

Nice Dr. who acts like she cares and lets you speak. But really she treats numbers and not the patient. Only see her for her passion which is Diabetes, don't bother with anything else...
