I have been a patient of Dr. Adams for nearly 15 years. I have had an array of medical problems. Dr. Adams has helped me in each one. He is especially knowledgeable about pain and how to control it. He as quarterbacked my care with several specialists. When you have an appointment he is entirely focused on your needs and takes as much time as necessary to both find out what you are visiting him for, and to explain the course of treatment he is recommending. He often offers several courses of action and allows the patient to play a real role in finding the right path forward.

Speaking of Africa (see next comment), when I went to see Dr. Adams about my chronic bloating and trapped gas, he insisted that "If the ground is wet, one cannot assume that a herd of elephants came by and pee'd on the ground, and that it is more likely that it rained" (or something to that effect). I was very happy with the clinic, and the promptness of service, as well as with his apparent knowledge of medicine, He really showed interest and the desire to help, but I just didn't appreciate his personality. There was a condescending attitude when he asked "what is it that I can do for you?" right when he entered the room for the first time. Maybe it was just a first impression but I didn't end up going back. Overall a good rating nonetheless!!! Constructive criticism here. :)

Very helpful and great bedside manner. He takes the time to listen to you and then determines course of action, he does not just dictate.

he is the best doctor i have ever been to. He actually cares. You can call him in the middle of the night and he will talk to you. He is not out there to get money, in fact the money he does get he goes to Africa every year for about 9 weeks and is a doctor for the sick people there. I can't ask for a better doctor then Dr. Adams.

Excellent knowledge; expert assessment, diagnosis and treatment procedures; great heart; no-nonsense; treated ALL our 4 children; charged us only $143 for report other physicians billed $1,100+; Able to interpret diagnostic images where other docs stumble; get's to the point immediately; very high-tech with his laptop ready to review your history; allowed me to experiment time of day and dosage for pain-killer medication to balance treatment with daily home-work functionality; he is the physician for many football and boxing clubs in Edmonton - loves people; goes on mission trips in Asia and Africa to help the helpless; was able to diagnose torn tissue injury & recommended excellent surgoen who performed the arthroscopic-bankart shoulder repair; excellent knowledge of internal medicine, sports injury and motor vehicle accident injury; half-day as medical nominee very inexpensive compared with others; a simple man dedicated to his patients and profession. I have recommended him to all!

My wife and I believe that Dr. Adams has a real heart for his patients. He takes time to really help and shows great concern and bedside manner. I wish more doctors where like him. Tony and Marge Abram

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Adams for over 20 years and he's the best doctor out there. When my grandfather was feeling ill, Dr. Adams sent him for tests at the U: he then immediately called us with the results, on a Saturday, to explain the situation and to provide us with options since he required palliative care. Unfortunately, he passed away 5 days later, but at least he was comfortable - thanks to Dr. Adams. When there is anything wrong, he will give multiple treament options, explain them, then let the patient select their preference. He's always willing to squeeze me in when necessary - thanks to Lawrence working his magic up front. I've also called Lawrence to make apts for presciption refills and Lawrence will get them phoned in for me to save me the trip to the office and to prevent me from taking a spot from someone who needs it. I give Dr. Adams, Lawrence, and the other office staff 2 thumbs up. PS. I think Lawrence is great!

I'm very upset with these people who have written negative comments concerning Lawrence. Dr. Adams has been our family doctor for a long time and Lawrence has never been gruff or impolite in any of our dealings with him. As a matter of fact, I very much enjoy his good sense of humor. I would suggest that these people who wrote negative comments about him should reflect on their own attitudes towards others. Also, when Lawrence says he will do something like phone in a refill prescription, or give Dr.Adams a message, or whatever the case may be, you can consider it done; he is very efficient and dependable. We have found Dr.Adams to be a very good and compassionate doctor. He will do his utmost to diagnose a problem. We are very thankful for him, and for Lawrence.
