Dr. Rival did a wonderful job with my septo-rhinoplasty. He fixed my deviated septum and removed the bump on my nose, giving me an excellent result. I've wanted to do this for many years and I am so glad I went to him for the surgery. Not only did he and his team answer all my questions thoroughly and provide a comprehensive package of information so I knew what to expect, they were also very kind and compassionate -- which I highly value. As I said, I'm thrilled with the result. I recommend Dr. Rival if you are considering this type of surgery. He is the best!

The decision to undergo rhinoplasty was one that I had contemplated for many years, and I can confidently say that choosing Dr. Rival was undoubtedly one of the best decisions I have ever made.
The recovery phase was, in a word, exceptional. I was pleasantly surprised by the minimal bruising and the complete absence of pain. I chose him after consulting with multiple other well known rhinoplasty surgeons and happy with my decision of choosing Dr.Rival for my surgery. Dr. Rival and his team made the entire rhinoplasty process such a breeze! When I met with Dr. Rival for my first consultation, he was honest and open about what he believed would and wouldn't look good/suit my face. I really appreciated this and I trusted him so much more. He truly is an artist and he knows how to construct a new nose for you that looks so natural. He fixed all my concerns and even went beyond my expectations. My nose looks like I was born with it. If I could give Dr. Rival more than 5 stars I would!! I had septorhinoplasty a few months ago and it was the best decision I could have made for myself! I have hated my nose since I was 12 years old when I started to get bullied about it. This bullying unfortunately continued on and off throughout my life until I was finally in a position in my mid 50s (!) to be able to consider surgery. I had heard about Dr. Rival from a trusted friend so decided to go for a consultation. I honestly thought I may be too old to have rhinoplasty but Dr. Rival assured me that I was a suitable candidate and was definitely not his oldest patient! He was not only kind and friendly but patiently answered my many, many questions. To my delight (and surprise) the surgery and recovery was a breeze! I really had no pain at all and the little amount of soreness I had was easily treated with some regular Tylenol. I had the standard bruising and swelling but that subsided in a couple of weeks. Now onto my results!! What can I say - Dr. Rival is a true artist when it comes to rhinoplasty! I am SO thrilled with my new nose and amazed at how perfectly Dr. Rival sculpted my nose to fit my face and features. My nose looks SO natural and I feel so confident now! I no longer hide my profile! This is the nose I should have been born with and it is literally the most perfect nose for my face. I wouldn’t change a thing about it. Honestly the worst part of this whole experience was the anxiety I had in the weeks leading up to surgery! The other amazing thing that happened is that I used to have a continuously drippy nose and would blow my nose about 20-25 times a day. It was so frustrating and nasal sprays didn’t help. Well, Dr. Rival fixed that too and I literally do not blow my nose anymore (the money I am saving on Kleenex!!). If you are reading this far (first of all congrats, as I am long winded) but honestly if you are reading this far and have had any hesitation about having rhinoplasty with Dr. Rival then hesitate no more! If I can have this done in my mid 50s with amazing, life changing results and this is something you’ve wanted to do for a while then just go for it! You will be in amazing hands with Dr. Rival and his wonderful team! Also a special shout out to Lyne and Mandy who were amazing answering all of my questions! Thanks again Dr. Rival and team!!

When I began my research for a surgeon, I sought to find a doctor who was highly regarded in all aspects inclusive of expertise, care, and pleasing results. After months of extensive research, I came across various positive and heartwarming testimonials of Dr. Rival’s work and my decision to book a consult and needless to say, surgery with Dr. Rival, came without hesitation. Since consultation day, Dr. Rival kept clear but optimistic goals for what would be achieved in surgery, as well as a highly trained eye and ear for what I as a patient, desired most as the outcome. Speaking with Dr. Rival made me feel seen and understood, leaving no doubts when booking.
More specifically, on surgery day, Dr. Rival took time before and after surgery to speak with me regarding the logistics of my surgery, this again reaffirming that I was in good care.

I am now 2 months post-operation and I feel forever thankful for my experience with Dr. Rival and his staff; it has been everything a patient undergoing such surgery would expect and want. For this reason, I am happy to leave a highly regarded recommendation for a Doctor whose care and expertise has not gone unnoticed.

Dr. Rival emulates exactly what I was looking for in a surgeon: knowledge, patience, and understanding, and I would recommend him a million times over again. I had a septorhinoplasty with him about 4 years ago. He shaved the bridge, narrowed the width, reduced the nostril size and the tip, and corrected my deviated septum. My new nose is almost exactly how I dreamed of, albeit I wish he reduced the tip a bit more. I highly recommend him. Also I previously cancelled two planned surgeries before getting it done (due to medical issues) and he still took me on as a patient. Very good surgeon.

I was recommended to Dr. by my ENT. I had a dorsal hump, and a badly deviated septum. After reading amazing reviews, I decided to book my consultation with them; I am so happy I did. Dr. Rival listened to my concerns very thoughfully and was absolutely awesome during consults. Their clinic staff is the best, everyone is very kind and knowledgeable. My procedure went flawlessly, and my recovery was very low maintenance. I had very little bruising and discomfort. I am absolutely thrilled with my results, Dr. Rival gave me my dream nose and significantly improved my breathing!
It was the greatest decision I have ever made.

I inquired about a revision, they had me send pictures and I heard nothing after a month. I called and they said they would email the Doctor my pictures. This went on for an additional 2 months. After 3 months the response was 'The risk outweighs the reward. He didn't say why.' This was the most unhelpful and frustrating medical inquiry in my life. It would be nice to know why as Dr Rival is one of the few surgeons who still does revision surgeries in the GTA. The secretary told me to go back to my first Doctor. My first doctor is deceased. She then offered to ask Dr Rival for further clarification on his response. Of course I don't expect to hear back from her as it took 3 months to hear that vague unhelpful remark. Now I have to waste another Doctor's time to see why 'The risk outweighs the reward' when a simple explanation from Dr Rival could have ended the inquiry right then and there. Disappointed by this experience.
