Dr. Gotthold forever changed the course of my son's life by recognizing his brilliance and abilities when others saw autism and no comprehension. Thanks in great part to Dr. Gotthold, my son is now recognized as gifted/twice exceptional.

Dr. Gotthold has been our pediatrician for over 10 years. He is incredibly kind, excellent with kids and very personable. He always gives you his full attention and will take his time with you to discuss any matter at hand. He is extremely intelligent and regarded highly in the medical community as well. He has given us advise on many matters and has helped our families in many ways over the years. I trust him fully and know that he cares for our 5 children as he would his own. My kids love him! He knows how to make them feel at ease and makes them laugh! I always enjoy his sense of humor when we chat also! I truly feel like we have found a gem in Dr. Gotthold!

My children have been with Dr. Gotthold since birth and are now 13 (triplets). I wouldn’t think of trusting their care to anyone else. He is knowledgeable, thorough and always takes time to answer any questions. He is easy to talk to and my boys have a great connection with him. I’m so thankful he was recommended to us thirteen years ago and can say it was one of the best decisions we ever made, and, likewise, highly recommend him and his practice.

We've seen Dr Matt for 5 years, many times waiting over 30 min to see him. I've never been fond of his office staff, but it has been workable until today. I arrived to my appointment 7 minutes late, waited 5-10 to check in (slow family in front of me and a slow receptionist). 10 min later I was told I would have to reschedule the appointment I was waiting for because I was "more than 15 min late." I was floored. I was late yes, but on the magnitude of 7-9 min. After protesting for 50 more minutes I was finally taken back "as a favor", I had been there for more than an hour by that time. Last I checked I am their client. We like Dr Gotthold a lot, but not enough to disrespect me and my time. He clearly has NO control of his staff. His response was to have his office manager call me "in week or so" - for what, i still have no idea! Not one apology.

Dr gotthold is great my kids love him. His office staff is the worst. I asked for paperwork and was given run around. I needed to ask a question about a bill. Yvonne was of no help .

Both of our kids have seen Dr.Matt since birth, so we've known him 20+ years. We were lucky enough to be guided to his practice early on. Cannot say enough good things about him & Dr.Scott (though we know her less, only having seen her when he was unavailable). He is warm, reassuring, no nonsense and quick to say when he doesn't have an answer but always gets you one promptly. He has easily connected with both our kids equally well at every age & stage (boy & girl) and we have found him to be an absolute God-send during some complicated and scary health crises. Not sure what issues people have had with staff when practice enlarged a few years ago as our kids are older now and only really come for severe illnesses & yearly physicals. But I cannot say I have ever had an issue with any staff, as in EVER. But again we don't have the frequent contact that others with younger kids would. Cannot imagine having a better pediatrician to ensure our kids healthy growth and development. We have been ABSOLUTELY BLESSED to have had Dr.Gotthold and Dr.Scott for our children's best. Nothing else to say!

I have been bringing my children to Dr. Gotthold since they were born as he came highly recommended by nursing colleagues who have worked with him. We have loved both him and Dr. Scott since day one. However, we are considering leaving the practice as soon as we can find someone else. Only because the office staff leaves ALOT to be desired. With the exception of the physicians, no one there seems to realize or care that they are working with pediatric patients. They are terribly difficult to reach on the phone because of the already mentioned, lengthy lunch period when the phones go straight to voicemail. Often times, there are no call backs or very late call backs, which leave you wondering if your messages were even retrieved or communicated to the physicians. When you arrive in the office, there is no pleasant greeting, EVER. The basic social skills you would expect of people in their positions are totally lacking and I do work in healthcare. So I have seen good and bad examples. It makes me sad because my children love Dr. Gotthold and Dr. Scott, but as a parent who expects more from the staff that support the doctors, I know there is better available.
