Amazing doctor and staff. The full package at this office. I would highly recommend Dr. Sharma. He was able to sort out my problems and I have never felt better. His staff was always kind and caring. Yes, you have generally have to leave a message but that is only because Carrie is already on the phone with another patient. My calls were always returned promptly. Cannot say enough good things about this office.

This doctor must be paying people to write him good reviews. He must really focus on that first impression he makes. Just because you met him once and he was supposedly kind to your face that one time does not make him a good doctor. He is arrogant and condescending. All of the negative reviews are patients who have dealt with him numerous times and know the true character of this doctor.

Had the pleasure of meeting Dr Sharma at Oakville Hospital after a scare with my pregnancy at around 32 weeks. He couldnt have been kinder to my partner and I. His bedside manner is fantastic and he thinks critically and assesses the situation from all angles. You are NOT treated like a number, and he makes you feel very comfortable while still getting the job done and getting to the point. I would highly recommend him. We can only HOPE he is there when we actually have to deliver!!!! Thank you!!!

Dr Sharma is the most incredible obstetrician I’ve had the privilege to oversee my care. Between complications in my late teens with needing gynaecological care, to multiple pregnancy’s in my most recent years, I have interacted with several OB/GYN’s and he has by far been THE most sincere, caring and wonderful.

I had a different OB overlook my pregnancy’s, however Dr Sharma delivered my son in Oakville, and my recovery postpartum was minimal thanks to his patience and skill. I had a very quick labour with my son, in the middle of COVID while triage rooms for labouring moms were all full. He advocated for me to get into a delivery suite immediately and acted fast to see how my baby was doing and how well I was progressing. I was admitted at 8cm’s dilated, and if it wasn’t for him taking action as quickly as he did, I wouldn’t have had the chance to get my epidural administered prior to giving birth. He paged the anesthesiologist while still in the room with me and I was comfortable within 25 minutes of coming into the front doors.

I was later cared for by him again, simply by chance, when I presented to the emergency room with an ectopic pregnancy. He presented options in a calm demeanour which made me feel less afraid and anxious. He assured me he would monitor how I was doing and did his best to ensure I was comfortable. Ultimately, the medication failed to end the ectopic pregnancy, and I was later admitted for emergency surgery about a week later, yet he continually followed up with me even though at this time, I was not technically his patient anymore. He went out of his way to see that I was recovering and safe, and would definitely ask to be seen by him in any future pregnancy’s. I cannot praise this man enough. I likely would not be here with both of my ovary’s and Fallopian tubes in place were it not for this amazing doctor.

I do not think the not so nice comments on here are talking about Dr. S. Sharma. If it was not for him and his amazing staff my daughter would not be here. Sure you have to wait for him sometimes but that is because he takes his time with each patient. If you have questions you have a longer appointment and if you do not have any it is a shorter appointment. His staff has always made me feel comfortable and staff in this crazy Covid time. Carolyn always returns my calls and can always help me. If she cannot she gets back to me after talking to Dr. Sharma. Amazing office. Cannot say enough good things.

I don’t know how this doctor has any positive reviews to be honest.

I was referred to Dr. Sharma as my previous OBGYN retired. I did read some reviews before seeing him and I thought I should give him the benefit of the doubt, even though quite a few people did not care for him.

I’m sorry to say this man is absolutely awful! His bedside manner is atrocious. He is the most arrogant condescending person I’ve ever met. I would not go back to him if you paid me.

His knowledge on the treatment of endometriosis is completely outdated as well. Do yourself a favour and join the Facebook group: Endometriosis Network Canada, they have a list of excision specialists who are VERY competent surgeons with a wealth of knowledge regarding the disease.

If you’re reading this RUN FOR THE HILLS!

Sandeep Sharma saw my wife at the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital the day after she gave birth. He was on call, doing his morning check-ups with all new mothers. My wife was having unexplained stomach pains that, according to medical staff, are not common after pregnancy. Prior to him seeing my wife, the nurses noticed in my wife’s medical history that she was treated for a particular condition a while ago. It was their opinion that this ‘might’ explain her pains. However, my wife insisted that the current symptoms are not the same as the ones she was having with the old condition. When Sandeep Sharma saw her, he started talking about this old condition and how she needs to get it checked out again. When both my wife and I started explaining to him her history vs. current symptoms, he kept cutting us off. He was not interested in what we had to say. I had to be forceful and once I got portions of our story out, he realized that the test he wanted to do on my wife was already done and that there would be no need for it. Moreover, he only decided to physically examine my wife after I questioned why no-one had done so already, and why they were solely relaying on this historic condition. Long story short, he was very inpatient, rushed, cocky, and did not seem to care at all. He assumed things based on a historical record and did not want to listen to us at all. Had we not been forceful with him, he would have had my wife take a medical test that she does not need, and this would have taken up medical resources from patient that truly needed that same test done.

The funny part to all this is that a few hours later, a breast-feeding advisor saw my wife. She told us that many woman experience these exact symptoms during first few days of breast feeding. Sure enough, 2 days later, the pains stopped.

We understand that Sandeep Sharma has many patients to see, but when he is seeing a patient, he should dedicate his time and attention to them so he can properly diagnose and treat them. He’s a ‘half-baked pie’ type of a guy. If you have a medical condition that needs OB/GY treatments, find a doctor who will give you the time and attention that you deserve.
