I would give zero stars if I could! I was admitted through the Emergency room at WestBoca Medical Center on Thursday. I was told I had an ischemic stroke in in the recent past. Dr. Norona was to see me in the ER or shortly after arriving to my room. When I arrived to my room the hospital had me sign I knew I had a stroke. Dr NORONA didn’t arrive til 630am the following day My roommate and I both where awoken from a dead sleep by his loud boisterous GoodMorning! Which was proceeded by what am I here for? I suggested he read my records and tell be why I was there. He said he would read the records and would return; he returned 2 days later. In the interim test we’re done showing there were microvascular ischemic changes along with two aneurysms. Upon his return at 630am (2days later) again he woke both me and my roommate. This time he was yelling “who do you think you are saying you had a stroke; you did not have a stroke.” I responded “I certainly didn’t diagnose myself.” Still yelling he stated, “you didn’t have one symptom of a stroke.” I told him to stop yelling at me. His response was well I’m all fired up. I told him to go be fired up with some else and not to come back. It’s amazing he has a practice!

This is the same review that was deleted for some reason. Although it isn't positive, I don't think any reviews that are honest should be deleted. Here is what I wrote. "He seems like a nice enough person, however, the office staff is incompetent. He makes you wait when he has no other patients in the office. He won't call you with test results and makes you wait until the next office appointment which can be a month away, unless you call and demand an sooner appointment. He doesn't look at other records brought in and orders tests that have been already done. He just really doesn't seem to care for your well being. Not confident in his ability to diagnose your problem. I would not recommend him.

Very smart and a great diagnostician. He is very committed to his patients and you can tell that he loves his specialty. I highly recommend him.

Competent but mediocre. Rarely creative or successful with unusual presentations. Like with most specialists, one does not get the feeling that he truly cares about your welfare.

I liked the way I was treated at Dr. Norona's. Dr. Norona is patient and a remarkably good listener. He has an upbeat attitude. He was thorough in ordering tests for my condition and prescribed me a drug that really helped with the pain. His staff was also friendly and unrushed. A good experience.
