Compassionate Kind Dr. .I Feel Confident In My Upcoming Surgery.

Dr. Willard is very professional in his field. He is kind polite, very knowledgeable and made me feel confident that I had him as my doctor. I also had him six years ago for a colonoscopy as well as a new one today . I trust him . That’s lots to say about that because I the past I’ve been let down by other doctors.

Was referred to him from the Niagara Falls Emergency Department. His office contacted me promptly and within a couple weeks I was booked for my surgery, 2 months later. At my consult he answered any and all questions I had and made sure to explain the procedure to me in detail. Fast forward to my surgery, you could tell the staff enjoyed working with him, everyone was in a great mood which really calmed my nerves. Surgery went well and as did my recovery. Even had a follow up appointment at 2 weeks to just confirm all was well. Once again answered any and all of my questions. Fantastic Doctor, was very fortunate to have him preform my surgery.

Very informative visit. Put my mind at ease with his comments and answers to my questions after his examination of my rectal wound. After my tests are completed I look forward to having a follow up visit. I had colorectal cancer surgery on Feb 10th and was in hospital for 2 visits of 4 weeks each. Ran into several set backs that slowed my healing process so I asked Dr Subermanian and he arranged with my family Dr, Dr Reka to arrange a visit with Dr Willard. The cooperation between these gentlemen is most appreciated as now I know I am on the right track back to normality….

In February 2023, I was referred by Welland Hospital ER after a painful gall stone episode. Dr. Willard advised me that the gall bladder needed removal due to the very large size of the stones. He provided me an overview of the laparoscopic cholecystectomy procedure and potential risks. He answered all my questions. I did not feel I was being rushed. He called me twice before surgery in early April and then he visited me in the hospital room the day after surgery. (I was kept in overnight due to bleeding. I had been on blood thinners which were suspended a week before surgery) . Other than that my surgery went very well and I had no pain - just discomfort which eased daily. 13 days after surgery, I had a follow up visit with him and all was well.
I felt very comfortable with Dr. Willard and he and the surgical team at Niagara Hospital were excellent. The Canadian Health System often gets a bad rap but after a heart attack requiring insertion of a stent at Hamilton's Heart Center in early 2022 and my 2023 Gall bladder surgery, I cannot speak more highly of the speed and excellent care I received.

Dr. Willard performed my hernia surgery in March and it went really well. He is very personable and professional to the point that I opted to do this locally over going to Shouldice. He's be excellent with the aftercare and fitting me in for consults when to explain symptoms of the recovery.

Receptionist is consistently rude; Dr. Willard seems knowledgeable in general, however did not seem to be up to date on my medical information

I have had Dr. Willard twice now and both times has been excellent. Would not go to any other Doctor for my health concerns.
