Dr. De Beer is my surgeon and I am so grateful he was in jurvanskis emergency ward on February 15 2017. After twelve hours of neglectful care in ER, Dr. De Beer came in after looking at my xrays and immediately took over my care. He ordered further tests of my broken femur. He asked me how this break happened. I explained walking down my hallway apt building I heard a snap and experienced excruciating pain in my left leg. He told me this break, is one that happens when in a bad car accident. He asked me if he could do further tests before he did surgery. I agreed, after all tests were done he diagnosed me with a rare bone disease osterpetris. After the diagnosis, he did my surgery. My surgery, was a steel rod put in my leg from hip to knee secured with screws. The surgery was much more complicated than normal, because of my rare disease hardening of the bones. I thank God for Dr. De Beer being my surgeon and looking after my surgery and his continuing care of me. He showed compassion and realy listened to me with my concerns. He was like an angel coming to my rescue in Jurvanskis emergency ward. He again has continued being my orthopedic doctor and am so thankful for him. He has referred me to one of the best physician s in North America that looks after bone disease. Thank you Dr. De Beer, for everything and all you have done for me being your patient.....five stars..☆☆☆☆☆

My left hip was resurfaced in 2009 and just had right hip full replacement April 2017. Both experiences were outstanding, I am amazed had how friendly the staff treated us, knowledge which was shared and passed on and what blew me away was the efficiency of the process from pre-op appointments right through to surgery and recovery. Thank you Dr. DeBeer for giving the quality of life back to me!! I can not thank you and your staff enough for this experience. Had my left knee done Oct 2016...knee sure feels a lot better...going in for right knee replacement Feb 2017..healed great ...in hospital 20 hours... praying right knee goes just as well have. Great faith in Dr. Debeers..to the man who gave me my life back ...even if were not quit finished yet...very Happy with my surgeon....😁

A big thank you to Dr. DeBeer for a wonderful job on my right total knee replacement. I feel that I have been given a second chance to walk properly again! At only 4 weeks postop, I am able to walk better, bend my knee better and I am still working to improve this even more. Although only 54 years of age, arthritis was the culprit, causing my knee to be in a bent position for 2 years. He is an expert in his field, punctual, organized and did not push for surgery, but waited till I gave him the word. I am very happy. Can't wait to go for walks in the months to come!!!

I went in thru emergency with my sister, who has mental illness and is not always well received by doctors. Dr. DeBeer was not only very kind and patient with her, he also advocated on her behalf when hospital policies were not on her side. He went way beyond what any other doctor would have done, I'm sure! He is very much about patient care, patient rights and just good old fashion compassion for all people. He replaced her hip. And although she refused to walk for some time, he worked with her and got her up and walking again. She is doing great! We are now waiting for 2 knee replacements and an ankle replacement. Of course, we will use Dr. DeBeers again. As the rest of the ratings suggest, he is well liked and often recommended for good reason! You will feel safe and well cared for, with him as your doctor! Dr. De Beer did a Total Left Knee Replacement for me on June 3, 2014. My recovery has been great and the knee is pain free. I am going to have my right knee done on November 10, 2015 and I cannot wait. Walking has been much better since I had the left knee done and I am confident that my recovery for my right knee will go well and walking will no longer be an issue.

I waited about a year to see him after hitting my knee in a car accident. I waited just over an hour in his waiting room and was seen for about 30 minutes. He did not rush the conversation and answered every question thoroughly, making sure to cover all potential options.
He called it a "dashboard injury", which is basically just scar tissue of the ligaments. Although there is nothing he can do for my knee, I admire that he was honest and didn't use my pain as an extra paycheck through surgery or injections. He told me not even to bother with physio, as the exercises he showed me are all I really need and the physiotherapist will throw in extra stuff to "keep me from getting bored". Unfortunately all I can do is let the scar tissue heal, however I am glad he was honest and did not use me as a medical experiment. Very hard to disqualify anything he told me, he was thorough, truthful and used real examples to explain himself. If you are a no-bull kind of person (although I had no issues with his bedside manors), Dr Debeer is a great specialist to listen to.

Dr. De Beer performed my left hip replacement in October 2014, which has been an outstanding success. He is a very professional and articulate world class surgeon, who makes you feel at ease and builds confidence. He is disciplined, to the point, a good listener who does an outstanding job of explaining the pre & post surgery and recovery process. He works with you to try alternative solutions to your problem, rather than just rushing into an operation. His staff are very professional, polite and helpful. One can see that his staff and other patients that I have spoken to, have the utmost respect for him. He has also been very supportive and helpful with my right knee meniscus problem.

Dr. De Beer operated on both of my knees and did knee replacements at the same time. He is an excellent surgeon and saved me a lot of down time by doing both knees at once. I was told before my surgery, by someone that deals with several Orthopedic Surgeons, that Dr. DeBeer is the best in the city. Several of my family members have had surgery done by him as well. We all agree that he is the best!
