Dr. Rubinger is an excellent doctor. After a stem-cell transplant I've been in remission for over 5 years from Hodgkin's Lymphoma. My only complaint is that he's always late for appointments. Over the past 5 years I've waited a minimum 1.5 hours to a maximum of 3 hours for ALL my appointments. I'm already living on borrowed time. Why waste it. What's the deal?

Great care, very experienced in his field, Dr. Rubinger is straight forward yet delicate in his methodes of treatment. I was his patient and would only deal with him in the future if need be! A++

Dr Rubinger diagnosed me in quick time with lymphoma that was spread out and because of his knowledge and carring ways, his staff and the staff in the treatmennt staff I am now in remission. I like him because of the way he speaks to me and my family, because he is smart, listen to what I had to say and because he cares. He even called me home late in the evening to give me the news that I was in remission. I wish all my doctors would be the same. I would recommend him to anybody who needs a cancer doctor.

I have been under this doctor care for more than 5 years and I have come down with two relapses. He did care for me more than a physician, and more like a respectful man, giving me the time to express my views, tremendous considerationand good advice. I owe him more than I can exppress and say. He is a busy clinician, but has a smile for me all the time. I like his sense of humor and his ability to resolve problems in a calm and patiently manner. I hope to stay with him and under his care for a long time. I trust him and his nurse and pharmacist.

My brother was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and Dr. Rubinger was his doctor. My brother found him very uncommunicative and unfriendly. I am sure he is an intelligent man, but he seems to lack kindness and empathy, at least in my brother's case. As to the staff, we were left waiting in the waiting area for 45 minutes before just leaving as my brother was extremely weak. We did not have an appt. but we just wanted to talk to his case worker and was told that she was in a meeting and would be out in a few minutes, the waiting room was empty. I feel as though the receptionist could've called her to come out to talk to him, he just had some quick questions to ask. My brother was not a man to want to make a fuss. He did everything that was asked of him. My brother lived alone and no attempt was made to ensure that he was ok, either by phone contact or by letter. He was very weak. Treatment prescribed was usual, however, in my brothers case, very damaging and unsuccessful.

Dr Rubinger and his clinic staff, nurse Megan Sobie, and pharmacist, Marc, are wonderful. They have made my journey with cancer bearable. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Lymphoma-fall 2007. I spent 6 months being tested by my 1st oncologist to try and determine what was wrong. I was about to start treatment with my 1st oncologist and I asked for a 2nd opinion. I asked to be transferred to CancerCare where I VERY QUICKLY found out I was misdiagnosed by the 1st doctor. I was very fortunate to be seen by Dr Rubinger as it was his experience & expersite that caught this error. He is a very caring person who takes the time to explain everything to you. He has an incredible staff(TEAM)working with him. I can't find the words to to describe all of the staff @ CancerCare Mb. They are incredibly professional and they provided me with the ultimate in care. This is the only place to be if you have cancer. Is see complaints about punctuality...I would rather be seen by the busy doctor who is the BEST in his field and is a little late because he takes the time to properly review matters with each patients. This man is the BEST. I am in remission now. Thanks Doc
