She was my doctor while I was in my teenage years. The first time I went I was 12 maybe. I really like her direct manner. I was having a terrible time in my teenage years and felt like no one cared. It really surprised me when she just said, "what's up?" She really wanted to know. She wasn't my parents, teachers or anyone else ready to lay a verbal beating on me for not measuring up. She just wondered what was going on, why I was acting like I was, not passing classes and wondering if there was anything she could do to help. She didn't pry. It really made me realize that she did care and that there was someone who did. Her reaching out made me feel better about myself to this day. I will not forget that!

Yes, Dr. Ubhi does seem abrupt, but do you really need to be moddy-coddled by your doctor? I haven't seen Dr. Ubhi in a couple of years because she moved, but I grew to like her directness. Once, when I just turned 40, she asked me why I was still single. I replied that it was easier. She told me it is nice to share a life with someone. I was a bit taken aback by her interest, but I was touched.

The Dr. that I had been going to left for BC so my file was turned over to Dr. Uhbi. I went to her for quite some time. I found that she talked about other patients (negatively) that she had just seen..I felt that was very unprofessional. I had a breast scan done...and it showed that I had something that did not look good in the xray. She sent me back telling them that I had to have both breast redone..when in fact she didnt read my xray properly. I quit going to her at that time as I felt that if she was unable to read an xray...I was not feeling that she was a very competent MD.

I was misdiagnosed and put on a number of heart drugs. She sent me to different specialist who each prescribed different drugs. When I asked her to take me off some of them because I would get ill when I took them, she would not. She also put me on a medication that gave me blood clots in my legs, I could not walk. After seeing a TV program about this medication causing blood clots I stopped taking them. I moved out of province got a wonderful Dr. and found out I had sever breathing problems and a hiadel hernia not heart problems. I hope I was an unusual case, because I don't want others to go through the same experience. I am back walking and enjoying life with the proper medication. Also when I asked for a history sent to my new Dr. It was incorrect and indicated some very disturbing observations about me that were not true.

Seem very cold and unfeeling. No bedside manner what so ever. I would never be seen by her again if I can help it. I don't know if she knows what she is doing because she didn't take any time to talk to me at all. If you have any questions about your health (which is usually why one goes to the doctor) she definitely does not seem to have the time to answer them.

Dr. Ubhi should not be allowed to practice medicine at all. She came in place of my family physician when I was being discharged from the Maternity Ward. She informed us that these nurses heard a heart murmur when they listened to my son's heart, but they didn't say anything. Dr. Ubhi claimed that she couldn't hear the same murmur when she listened to my son's heart. She discharged us from Royal University Hospital, and told us that the heart murmur she couldn't hear isn't anything to worry about, and to go home and forget about it. Thank God the Healthy at Home program is in effect. The nurses from Public Health, who are involved in the Healthy at Home program listened to my son's heart, and called the Pediatric Cardiology department at Royal University Hospital. Most of the time they couldn't get through to the hospital. When they did get through, they were told that we'd have to wait up to eleven months just to be seen. Dr. Slavik saved the day, by sending my son to Emerg. @ R.U.H.
