If this is the Dr. Hardin at Brentwood Family Medical centre, then this comment belongs to him. This guy does not care about patients, walked in with an uncaring, "i don't want to be here" type attitude. Tries to push people out of there as soon as possible so that he can see more people and get paid more. He didn't even answer my questions properly. The ladies at the front desk would even be able to diagnose and treat better. This guy should get fired since he can do nothing for patients.

This doc did not listen to my concern at any of my 3-5 visits to him. Prescibed a very strong soap not suitable for children to treat what I told him was scabes...it was! Gave me cough syrup samples for a cough that landed me in the hospital with pnuemonia a week later and told me to continue takeing BC pills even after I told him I believed I was pregnant, I was! If you are looking for a doc who listens supportively...look elsewhere. Run!!!

Always on time and quite accomodating with appointments. True, Dr. Hardin seems to be too blunt or gruff in his interactions. This can be very intimidating to patients. Excellent record keeping, using a computer to record history. Seems to be very knowledgable. Only wishes that he would listen a bit more before jumping in with comments.

One of the best things about Doc Hardin is his record-keeping. I travel (too much, he says) & it's a relief to know if I ever need a med history sent, it's done w/ a click of a button. Other docs scribble in my file & leave it for others to decipher--a possible nightmare. He types comments into his computer which protects both doc & patient. He's ORGANIZED, exacting, no nonsense, punctual & into the data. I like that because moods/media can create confusion & tests reveal the true nature of things. So patients need to show up for them (even the unpleasant ones). He's also connected to other good physicians referring the tried & true. The doc does his honest best & I think his best is good. It speaks well for him that other doctors & pharmacists offer credos & admiration for him. I'm a little miffed by hockey pics, posters & memorabilia paraded in the office by staff. It kind of says "The facilitation of this office to meet your health needs is not our main concern." It's not appealing.

I love Dr. Hardin. Sure, he can be very harsh and blunt, but he's an excellent doctor. He tells it like it is. No small talk, and answers questions clearly. He's also very easy to get a hold of and will take patients in for emergency situations. I've had some pretty close calls and Dr Hardin has always pulled me through. Also Pam is a sweetheart. She's always looking to accommodate people the best ay possible.

I agree with the comments: Pam can be very rude, and unfortunately, Dr. Hardin's bedside manners need some iprovement. However, the decision to stop having him as my family doctor, was precisely due to his poor listening skills. I was put on a medication and complain about weight gain due to the medication I was on. His response was: "of course you are concern about weight, all women are" and dismissed the concern. I brought it up again and 48 pounds later (within three months) he said to me: Wow, you are borderline obese! very matter of factly and medicated me some more to deal with the weight gain. I listened and asked questions, and my questions were quickly dismissed, with witty humouresque remarks, that in my opinion were more insulting than humorous. Cannot agree with the positive comments. In my experience, I agree more with the negative ones.

I am filing a complaint against this doctor, who was not only dismissive and rude, but did not properly treat my injury. I later had to have work done by a plastic surgeon since Dr Hardin "missed" that there was nerve damage.

I have seen this doctor since he graduated and like him very much. With a smile, I have noted the 'odd' comment about bedside manner. If you need your hand held, look elsewhere! He is there to listen and diagnose. Blunt? Yes, at times! But it is always done with humour. Consider yourself a good patient if you listen to him as much as he listens to you. He is an excellent diagnostician and communicates very well -- do you?.

Very knowledgable, not given to small talk, excellent treatment. Good doctor for a patient who will listen.
