My wife and I are new to Dr. Bixenman. He exhibits vast knowledge and experience and, most importantly, has an outstanding, relaxing and humorous demeanor and approach. Put our minds immediately at ease to dispel inaccurate conclusion of an optometrist in a potentially serious scenario. Patients for life.

27 years a patient. The staff is exceptional, Dr Bixenman is superb. This office has provided me sterling service. I had one emergency, The office staff made me a priority & my welcome exam provided me with relief, and comfort. Dr. Bixenman has been a gift to both myself & family. One simply can not find better.

Obnoxiously arrogant. Didn't listen. Made offensive remarks about our family size and told my wife she could do better than me. He said as our kids move out, we would just go have more. Had I worked there, this would have been sexual harassment. He didn't know what was wrong. I'm sitting there with vision problems and he told me to go back to work, he wasn't signing disability papers (which I had never asked him to). I won't be going back.

I was referred to Dr. Bixenman several years ago for severe thyroid eye disorder. He performed several surgeries to correct the misalignment of my eyes and referred me to the best surgeons for orbital expansion and eyelid surgery. The results have amazed not only me but all who know me. He is in my view the premier neuro-ophthalmologists in the Tucson area.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bixenman's since 2009, for assessment & monitoring of my vision issues related to MS. He remains thoroughly professional, addresses every issue/question I bring up and provides simple, straightforward answers. His nature is light-hearted balanced with the ability to be a straight-shooter when facing a medical issue. I highly recommend him, especially for neuro-vision care.

Dr. Bixenman was referred to me by my neurosurgeon due to a benign tumor that was affecting my vision. Dr. Bixenman is the ONLY neuro-opthamologist in this area and is extremely well trained in both neurology and opthamology and some other (obscure) specialty. He has been terrific to work with: always gives me honest information about my situation, does a complete eye exam each time, is quite personable, plus my other doctors trust his feedback. If you have a serious issue, he's the physician to consult. I am very comfortable recommending his services.
