She announced she was retiring and charged us $100 each to transfer our files to our new Dr. Then she delayed her retirement for approx 6 months. Makes me wonder if she hadn't fleeced everyone.
NOW she's turned up in Aurora holding a walk in clinic for FIVE DAYS A WEEK in the premises of my new Dr.
So much for her RETIREMENT. I find this a tad disturbing that 1. she fleeced everyone to say she was retiring 2. she's suddenly now NOT in retirement. 3. she has the nerve to actually do this. 4. scary she should be allowed to do this.
My new Dr tried to get my husband to go to GCK on one of his appointments and the call came through to my cell phone. My new Dr now knows to NEVER have either of us ever deal with this woman again due to her medical misdiagnosis and now lack of trust we have for her. I'm still flabbergasted she hasn't retired yet because she certainly needs to.

I always wondered is my issues would be dealt with, or if she would get distracted talking about herself instead. Her staff was okay. Im happy to have a new Doctor.

I was glad when Dr.Gayle got another receptionist. Sad to hear of Gayles retirement as she will be missed by my whole family.

Similar to another review, once you have a serious issue Dr. Gayle turns into quite a terrible doctor. Our family had been with for as long as I can remember, but then my dad got in a serious accident and Dr. Gayle basically abandoned us. Terrible doctor, and not keeping up medical knowledge especially concerning concussions. SHE HURT OUR ENTIRE FAMILY WITH HER BEHAVIOR.

Dr. Gayle has cared for my family for 34 years. She has always been conscientious, compassionate, knowledgeable, reliable, always cheery with a smile and dedicated to her work. I say the same for Amanda in her position in the office. I believe she did not choose to retire and am incredibly sorry to lose her. Be well Dr, Gayle!

Until I hit major issues I woul have said she was a good doctor. I soon changed my mind when she believed my issues were not what she thought. She sent me for tests but then ignored the recommendations from those test and refused a CT scan. When I finally demanded something be done and asked for a follow up I was finally referred to a specialist who agreed with me and was SHOCKED she had ignored the issue for 18 months. It was only on accessing my medical records I discovered the issue that she was ignoring. Once in the correct hands I had the tests she refused to do and was in surgery within 5 weeks. All Dr Gayle did was throw painkillers at me. Almost immediately after surgery my pain and problems had gone along with the need for painkillers..Rather than accept she dropped the ball she is still in denial over what the issue was in the first place. I feel 18 months of my life was stolen and my body endured opioids unnecessarily for that time also. After this I lost faith and have now changed doctors due to her upcoming retirement. Her retirement was set for November 2022 but I now hear she's delaying it until 2023. Mustn't have enough nest egg funds from patients transferring files to new doctors yet to retire. BE WARNED she will charge you up to $100 each to have your files transferred. As pensioners this is not a small amount of money. Talk about being penalized for her retiring.

Dr GCK has been mine and my families dr
For 35 years. She is the best of the best hands down. Amanda the receptionist is also the best. I will be at a loss when she retires

I'm quite shocked at the remarks about Dr. Gayle's staff. Amanda is lovely to deal with on the phone and in person. It's a leave-a-message office, but I'm okay with that, and my calls are always addressed with 24-48 hours. Dr. Gayle is kind, a great listener and I've never had any doubt about the quality of my care. I do wish she had more office hours, but with the numbers of walk-in clinics in the area, Telehealth and Southlake's ER, I've always found an alternative.
