She was extremely rude and insulting. She only wanted to hear one thing even when a diagnosis required more info. I felt that after waiting for two hours all she had time for was to insult me and tell me to see my family doc. That would have been my choice if I could have gotten in. Never again

I have had to deal with this physician on several times at the walk in clinic and must say that she is rude and arrogant. I am also a profession in the health field thus I am not clueless when it comes to medicine. She appears to be stuck in the old mentality when a doctor was considered to have the power of a god. Every patient has a right to question any recommended treatment. Physician seem to doing more of an administrative duty, handing out prescriptions, etc. The patient who may not have a lot of faith in the physician or medical system, need this for insurance, referrals, etc. This physician really needs to attend a few courses on compassion and a client centered approach to medicine. Time to retire...do research, something that does not entail human interaction.

Dr goodwin is not the dr she used to be.. She has been my doctor for nearly 15 years and on the last few years i have grown ill. I get stressed going to see her as sge is almost always in a bad mood. She is not interested in what is wrong and i have serious health problems that remain and i feel like it is up to myself to figure out what is wrong. She will not listen. I am soon finding a new doctor a.s.a.p. And her receptionist is rude and never helpfull. If she was mine receptionist i would fire her.

I have had Dr.Goodwin as my family doctor for almost 12 years. Everytime I had to see her I felt she was just rushing me through my appointment and I never got to talk about why I was there, she didn't seem interested. IMO she has lost interest in her job and should just retire! I had a back injury two yrs ago and have gone to her since then and complained my back hurts, she tells me to lose weight!!Yea I may need to lose some but this is not because of my weight I slipped and fell while I was pregnant and have been in severe pain since.I can not do daily things with my kids because of how I suffer, but she just says take tylonal and lose weight!!Now that I have moved to a new province I am going to get the help I have needed for 2yrs and if something is seriously wrong with my back I will be sure to tell Dr.Goodwin how stupid she is!!I am so happy to have a new doctor, when I return to NS I will NOT be going back to her.

Always crabby...(Poor Service) Never on time. (1hr+) Not helpful... High and mighty attitude. (Why? take a look in the mirror lady.) Couldn't say how knowledgeable she is but I can say that she is the worst doctor I've ever had the displeasure of visiting.

Dr Goodwin was my doctor for 8 years. She is a caring doctor but has NO bedside manner. I would go to see her about an ear infection and in that visit I would tell her my throat hurt too. She would say I only deal with one issues per visit. I could be wrong but most ear infections are connected to throat tenderness and pain. I ask her about that once and she said last time I looked I was the doctor here. Just plan RUDE. That was the final straw. I never went back after that.

dr goodwin i think is a good doctor with too many patients and not enough patience. i always felt like i was wasting her time when i was there. i never felt like she was listening. but i know many other people who adore her as a doctor, so maybe its just me.

I think Jan Goodwin is a great doctor, don't know what some of these people are talking about. Let us remember that doctors are people too,and if they have a bad day, once in awhilelook at yourself.

I had been seeing Dr. Goodwin for 13 years, then had a car accident, got sandwiched between two cars, was not my fault in any manner. I had Grade 4 whiplash, migraines and ongoing back, neck pain, numbness in legs & arms. I wasn't going to get a lawyer but with the severity of my injuries, I decided to hire one. Well when it came to paperwork, forget it!!! She made it seem I was a nuisance even slammed on my back and shouted where is the pain!!! Crazy lady. The accident was in 2004 and still suffer with pain, going to several MRI's, specialists, etc, on forever meds it seems. The day she said she had more than this practice and no time for paperwork and the day she beat on my back was the last day I went back to her after 13 years!!! Not worth the extra stress to deal with her, could have complained to a board but what for, wasn't going to do me any good!! Oh and be prepared to wait 2-3 hours to see her after your scheduled appt. as she is never on time. Good Luck !!!
