This was during the first year of the pandemic. No one in the office was masked. This was before the mandates, but most medical offices were masking. The nurse noticed I was uncomfortable. She was nice, masked up and said she’d ask the office to do the same. Dr. P came in dressed like he was about to deliver a baby. The overkill truly had an element of mockery. He was more curt with me then ever before. Then as I tried to ask a question about symptom management until a test result came back, he interrupted me 3 times rolling his eyes as he repeated the same irrelevant explanation. Finally I had to interrupt him to actually get the question out about the symptom management. Finally after I came out everyone in the office, (with the exception of the elderly women who gives the reminder calls), was wearing a mask and staring at me. I mean staring. I’m guessing they were irritated about the masks. I left that day and never went back. I had never had an entire office make me feel so bad.

As someone else stated, he has an attitude that he’s just doing what he needs to to get out of there. Still hasn’t learned how to insert a speculum. Has torn me twice. I only stuck with him because of the issues I was having. Now that my uterus has calmed down, I had planned to leave and was grateful to hear he was closing his practice!

Dr. Pastoriza is amazing! He is very patient and kind, he remembers small details about my family every time he sees me. After each delivery, he sent a card of congratulations to my home with a handwritten note inside. It meant a lot to me that a busy doctor took the time to get to know small details about me, then mention those details in the card. He was an excellent doctor during my pregnancy and even better during delivery. I had Dr. Scott for my first delivery and he was rude and told my family to shut up while I was in active labor. Dr. Pastoriza was literally a god compared to Dr. Scott!!

Dr. Pastoriza was on call for my OBGYN and ended up delivering my daughter. He was the most uncaring, rude doctor I've ever met. He made no effort to come to my delivery room and meet me beforehand(Dr. Vendola did for he delivery of my son; he was on call for my regular OBGYN) once he came into he room he made no eye contact while speaking to me, and his tone of voice was monotonous like he didn't really care. His attitude came off like he just wanted to get out of he hospital and go home; it was nearing the end of his shift so maybe that's why. Hopefully he does not act like this to his own patients!!

Dr. Pastoriza and staff made me feel very comfortable. They answered my questions when I had them. Dr. Pastoriza took time with me for I was having major surgery and I was very concerned. He answered all my questions. He did not make me feel like he was hurried. He is very caring Doctor, which is a rarity these days.
