DR. ORLEANS DID MY LAST PROCEDURE FOR THE LAST TIME. HE NEVER SPOKE TO ME BEFORE THE PROCEDURE NOR DID HE SPEAK TO MY HUSBAND AFTER THE PROCEDURE. I AM NOT SAYING HE IS A BAD DOCTOR.I AM SURE HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING, BUT HE IS COLD AND UNCARING. MY HUSBAND, SON-N-LAW, AND MYSELF HAVE CHANGED TO ANOTHER DOCTOR. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND HIM.

Dr. Orleans, performed a procedure in the recovery room that was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. He talked to me briefly there then proceeded. Later he told me he "thought I was still under anesthesia", otherwise he would never have done this procedure. He reported that the procedure was performed in the "GI Lab". (NOT TRUE!) He performed this in the recovery room. I complained to the Hospital but apparently they did nothing and I do not expect that anyone will? I won't use the hospital or Dr. Orleans again!!

I have never written in to a doctor's evaluation site before, but I recently recommended a friend of mine to see Dr. Orleans, and she told me he had mixed reviews on this site. I have been seeing Dr. Orleans as my physician for a little over 9 years. He has taken excellent care of me and has been responsive to my problems within his area of expertise. I have gotten better and the quality of my life has improved. He does a lot of thinking outside the box and he is passionate about helping his patients. He puts in long hours at the clinic and the hospital. I have seen him at 9 or 10 PM at night at the hospital many a time, even though he wasn't the doctor on call. Admittedly, at times he is late to the office because of hospital emergencies. When he is running late, he does like to guide the interview, asking questions to get to the point of the visit, but he has never been unkind or uncaring. His patients that I know love him. I highly recommend him.

The amount of time it takes to see this doctor is ridiculous. You will wait at least 2 hours. His bed side manners good use some work and he was not helpful. When he did not know the answer to a very painful and uncomfortable problem, he just stopped treatment of me. he also order tests that insurance found unnecessary and will not pay for.

I was referred to Dr Orleans and diagnosed with GERD and an esophogeal stricture. He did a procedure to try to help my stricture. I never had any problems with him. In my opinion he is a good doctor. Its not really fair to judge doctors based on ratings. I looked up a different doctor that I was about to go to who had less than favorable ratings and to my surprise that particular doctor is the only one I have seen who is willing to actually help me and get to the bottom of my symptoms. I think you really just have to go to the doctor, whomever it may be, and form your own opinion.

Dr. Orleans' bedside manner is horrible. He is dry and bland and seems uninterested in hearing anyone talk besides himself. His nurse was very sweet. However, after having my procedure it took forever to get the results back, and when I finally did the nurse called and told me I had been diagnosed with a fairly rare stomach disorder to which she said he wanted her to call me in a medicine to take for it with no information about why, how, etc, just to come back if I had trouble. Dr. Orleans should have his patient's back in for followup appointments after their procedures so he can explain and discuss the test results and treatments with the patients personally face to face. He is lacking the human touch, and I will not be going back to him.

At first meeting he interrupted a question I asked and said that I was not to ask questions but only answer his questions. Was not helpful concerning problems following surgery. To his credit I suffered no further bleeding. He was recommended by my family doctor

My husband had stage four colon cancer when Dr Orleans found it, and he is who found it after many visits to GP who told my husband to put toilet paper in his butt.. That is when I got busy and got him in to Dr Orleans.....

My dad has liver cancer & was sent straight to ICU due to low blood count. Dr. Orleans talked ver fast as if he had somewhere else to be. He asked if my father had a GI doc. Once I told him he did he said he is not the on call doc for this doctor & didnt know why they asked him to see my father((((maybe because he is critically sick)))). My fathers MD called & stated that he knew that my fathers GI doctor was not on call so he wanted to make sure he was seen by a GI doc ASAP since he knew my dads GI doc would not be in until the am. Dr. Orleans comes back after his rant to the nurse that she needs to figure why he was called because if he was going to leave & didn't want to come back to the ICU if he is actually needed. He comes back and says that he was going to go ahead & see my father tonight as a FAVOR for his doc but hid doc will have him back in the am & he made sure that the nurse understood this as well.
