Dr. Bagner is an amazing doctor. He listens to me, and is very thorough in testing and treatment. Not to mention he's pretty much the nicest guy ever. I went through a crappy time where something was wrong but no one could seem to figure out what. Dr. Bagner helped me every step of the way, followed up, and provided necessary referral contacts. I find that good doctors are few and far between, for me to say someone is a good doctor - it takes A LOT. Dr. Bagner is a REALLY good doctor. I'm really grateful to have been his patient.

Dr. Bagner is a really fantastic doctor. The staff is brusk and sometimes one is made to wait, but this has nothing to do with Dr. Bagner and everything to do with the number of patients they have as they are ordinarily quite busy. What I like about him is his clear knowledge across a wide range of areas (obviously this is key for an Internist) as well as his ability to cite recent research thus demonstrating his intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in finding the best answer and diagnoses. Furthermore, he listens to his well-informed patients and considers their thoughts and feedback on balance. This latter point is so key if you are the type who knows your body well. Too many doctors don't take the time to really listen and often misdiagnose or over-diagnose problems. Dr. Bagner is great.

I've had Dr. Bagner as my PCP for about four years, and I've found him accurate in diagnosis, helpful but not extravagant in treatment, with a cordial, somewhat brisk bedside manner. In 2012, after scheduling my annual physical twice and having to return to work after waiting an hour past the appointment time, I insisted upon having the first appt. of the day. The front desk staff is, as others have noted, not gracious or terribly adept. I like and trust the doctor and his office is very convenient for me; otherwise, I'd bail.

Dr. Bagner is a nice guy, pretty helpful and seems to know his stuff. The staff is horrible. Super rude and generally put off that you're there. It's standard for NYC; but these guys seem to go the extra mile to not be helpful. You can probably get a good idea of what I'm talking about.

I have been going to Dr Bagner for approximately 5 years and have found him to be thorough and knowledgable. He does not rush me and is quick to recommend specialists when nescessary. Have referred many co-workers and friends who feel the same.

Dr. Bagner misdiagnosed me with an STD, to the dismay of my then girlfriend and it almost ended our relationship. Once after looking in my ear with a specula he proceeded to casually wipe the ear wax on my sleeve. He refused to give me an antibiotic for an infection and I wound up getting pneumonia. He also suggested my brother eat a sandwich and have an extra cup of coffee when he had mono something he learned he had when he got a second opinion.

I read the prior rating, and I have no Idea what that guy was talking about. I also work around the corner from Dr. Bagner, and I can tell you, most of my office DOES go to him. He is one of the most knowledgeable internists I have ever been to. He also has a wonderful bedside manner, and he has a fantastic ability to explain complex scientific principles in easy terms. I have sent over 20 friends to see him and every one loves this guy. It is True that he sometimes does not get back to phone calls that fast, but when he does conversations are detailed and he does not rush you off.

I was impressed by how "on-time" Bagner is, probably because he doesn't have that many patients! The only reason I went to him is because his practice is right around the corner from where I work. Many people in my company know him, but no one goes to see him because he's not very helpful, responsive or knowledgeable. If you leave a message with his assistants at the front desk, more likely than not, he will not return your phone call until you call back the second time. The only positive thing about this office is that it's easy to get last minute appointments and for simple things, and he probably can write you simple medications..... if you have slightly more serious questions/conditions, I don't recommend this guys!
