I am a health care professional who has had my father visit this physician. He used to be reputed. However, over the years, I have seen a decline in his services. He has a one issue per visit rule. This is OK, but as far as I'm concerned comorbid conditions such as blood pressure and hyperlipidemia are the same type of issue. He seems disconcerned, and primarily concerned with how fast he can earn his money. Dr. Fernandes used to be a good doctor, but unfortunately, money has gotten the better of him...

Made mistake in prescribing medicine and then lied to me for 2 years to hide the fact that the severe and permanent side effects were related to the wrong medicine.

Because I have moved, he is no longer my doctor but I was very pleased with him and actually went back a few times after the move. He listened, spoke to me as an individual, was never condescending, encouraged the use of non-prescription remedies. My kids loved him too.

excellent doctor. I think that the one issue per visit is good otherwise the wait time would be longer than it is. The office is always busy when Dr Fernandes is the doctor on duty

Only one problem per visit, but this is not a car repair shop so the practice is understandable. The doctor is very knowledgable and always explains in layman's terms what the treatment will be. He prescribes drugs only when it is necessary. A good diagnostician and takes the time to wash his hands between patients.

Has been my Doctor for over 20 years. Very knowledgable and well read. He keeps up with all the currrent trends and new information.

The overall office policy of "one problem per visit" is annoying, and frankly, medically irresponsible. Patients come in with a variety of symptoms that are most likely interrelated. You can't expect to get proper medical care if this is the blanket policy. That being said, I have been a patient for 30 years, and can usually get all my health issues addressed as needed. He is a good doctor, and has been helpful any time I have been in. The wait times are horrible, 2-4 hours depending on how busy they are - appointments are not available at any time. This is frustrating, but since not a lot of family doctors are willing to take on new patients, I choose to stay with his practice.

With only one problem allowed at a time he is able to stay on time which is a problem many people seem to have with their doctors./How can you be allowed to bring in 3 or 4 complaints and the doctor stay on his scheduled time?? I've heard may of the doctors are contemplating this approach as otherwise they are criticized for the wait in their office but just think about it ..if even one person brings in a list of complaints the doctor automatically gets behind / multiply that by 25-30 patients a day and you don't have a hope ...great idea and great job

Will only discuss one problem per visit and you may only visit once per day. Generally prescribes medication for every problem.
