This doctor has gone downhill over the last 10 years. She is so quick to just write a prescription and be done with you as fast as she can! You feel rushed when you talk or see her. There is NEVER a follow up to any tests done. Her office is disgustingly dirty with charts everywhere in the office area to actual dirt in the exam rooms. I felt gross just being in there. I am actively looking for another doctor.

I've been a patient since 1998. Unfortunately the last 7 years the care has gone downhill to the point where I am actively trying to find another doctor. Since Covid pandemic the Dr has really taken advantage and is overusing the ability to do phone appointments. The receptionist is not professional at all. She discussed her own personal problems with patients when maybe she should go see a counsellor and when I would have an in-person appointment I have overheard her discussing other patients with the Dr after they left. Can't get through unless you call after hours to leave a message (if the voicemail isn't full). She used to leave a message with an appointment timing now she doesn't so I was forced to go to an after hours clinic since she wouldn't leave me an appointment timing even after I explicitly requested one since I wouldn't be able to answer the phone since I was in a meeting. Which is strange because they used to always do this. Also, you never get a call back for tests you are sent for when it is something serious and concerning. To me that shows lack of empathy and patient care.
She also can't read blood work properly as I was misdiagnosed. Also she is very quick to send you a prescription for pain killers without actually seeing what the issue is with an xray, ctscan or MRI. Very dissatisfied and if I could negative reviews I would. She might want to consider getting a nurse practitioner or a student dr to come help them out.

We (myself, my partner and our three kids) have been with Dr Stairs (and Angie) since 1997.
Dr. Stairs is so kind and patient. She listens to all of my concerns and always has great advice. She is careful to prescribe (which I really appreciate) starting with low doses and a follow up appointment at 3 mos. unless needed sooner by the patient. My (adult) kids have conditions that require some careful monitoring for the right types and dosages of their medications. Each of our kids have found her to be very thoughtful and caring. It reminds me of our small town doctor when I was a kid.
Angie is her office manager (whom we also love). She is always busy, but never too busy to return my phone call. In fact, I don't know any other Dr offices with voicemail!
I love this duo and can't say enough nice things about them.
Sure the office hours are short but I can always get in within a couple of weeks (or the same week if it's urgent) I'm glad they are exercising healthy work/life balance.

After misdiagnoses, prescription mistakes, and no empathy from this doctor, I finally left her and now navigate the medical system with no doctor with better results. Miracles do happen as you can get through to Angie after 50 tries.

Absolute NIGHTMARE to deal with. You have to call 50+ times to get an answer, their door is consistently locked. I called 43 times today so I decided to knock on the door to try and communicate in person. They decided to just remain inside talking about me and listening to music. I have a sick two year old. Super professional

She has been my family doctor since 1992. I hate going to drs and hospitals, I’m an anxious person but she has always been approachable and understanding. My dad adored her and mom still goes to her. I don’t know if she has the refrain from smoking marijuana at least 3 hours before your appointment as the smell can be harmful to others. She should just have the no smells policy up. I bet she knows who most of her patients are that smoke it and if one comes in smelling of it she can tell them that next time you can’t be smelling like that because it bothers some. Putting a sign up telling ppl not to have their medicine isn’t right. But I’ll always love her! Angie has definitely improved over the years but I used to find her rude in my teens and twenties (1992-2010).

I have been going to Dr. Stairs since 2002. She is a sweet and pleasant doctor, but has a terrible receptionist. I would switch GP's in a heartbeat, if it was possible, but only because of Angie. Her hours are minimal and getting test results are almost impossible, unless you actually have an appointment and get past her horrific gatekeeper. I do not know why Dr. Stairs keeps her employed.

Never answers the phone, it’s a miracle if Angie does and when she does it’s usually after my 15+ calls. When I get referred to a specialist it takes months to years to actually get in even when my troubles are pressing. Never any calls to go over medical results
