Very unprofessional, was very arrogant, thank goodness this man has retired and is no longer performing surgery on patients, worst experience ever!!!!

Absolutely no bedside manner - avoided giving any explanation as to surgical results or what to expect as to post op care. More interested in conferring with his interns than with me.

Performed many surgeries on my mother for her breast cancer and at one point actually removed scar tissue instead of the tumor itself. My mother is now gone and I have written into the college of Physicians and Surgeons but please . . . be an advocate for your own health. Dr. Hansen is in a rush and does not take time to investigate or care for his patients!

I saw Dr. Hansen to have a colonoscopy done. I have had cancer in the past and have this procedure down a few times before. This was the first time Dr. Hansen did it and the first time it hurt so much. The hospital staff had told me before hand that I could have more medication if I was feeling pain during the procedure but Dr. Hansen ignored me when I told him I was having lots of pain. The results of the scope were inconclusive.

I'm a patient of Dr. Hansen and I have come to really respect him as a docror. Sure the first visit I saw him, I thought it was odd that he did'nt make direct eye contact all the time. However, I found him very easy to talk to. I have Crohn's disease and Dr. Hansen was part of the team trying to diagnose it. At my first appointment with Dr.H I was having servere rctal problems. It is a very unpleasant disease and he was very easy to talk to and compassinate. Sure he did'nt gush all over me, but I sure in heck did'nt wan't that. Doctor's see alot of horrible things...so is it a suprize they are'nt shocked when we come in with a serious problem? Doctor Hansen layed everything out and even saw me on an emergency visit because my family doctor's office was not open. I think it is very important to see specialists we feel comfortable with. I thank you very much Dr. Hansen.

I had a abdominal hernia fixed my Dr. Hanson a year ago. This guy is full of it. First he tells me he was going to go in with the scope to fix the problem and was not going to put me down with general anesthetic. I get prepped for surgery and they put in an IV in and I asked what that was for and they said for the GA. I was not impressed. Secondly, he was not going in with scopes, he was slicing my belly button open and doing it the messy way. Thanks to this idiot, I was off work for two months with infection and healing complications... not to mention the nasty **** scar he left. I had to go to the hospital weeks after due to a very large hemodroma (nasty bloody yellow fluid filled collection of fluid) under my incision and abdominal muscle. They told me to put pressure on it to work out the nasty fluid. Thanks for 2 months of lost wages!

Dr. Hansen nicked a blood vessel when he removed my appendix laproscopically. It put me in the hospital for two weeks with internal bleeding and an infection for what should have been a two day recovery. Not much fun.

Not sure what to say about this doctor, he is a good man, but at the same time he needs to get his facts together before performing operations. His office staff, is nothing to be desired, I had an appointment and I waited forever . Then I was told that I would have to rebook as the doctor wasnt able to see me. This was after Ihad surgery and I had gone in to see him as my incision was infected and there was a blot clot in my breast that I had just had a lump removed. I was misdiagnosed with breast cancer and he had removed my breast. He then proceeded on telling me that it was a mistake and then blamed me for having agreed to having a masctectomy on one side . I think this is an atrosity that a doctor can't back up his claims to such a mistake. Then make the patient feel like they did something wrong , when in fact all the patient did was follow the doctor's instructions. No amount of words will ever explain how this has left me incapacitated .
