I think Dr. Sijan is always pleasant, and he might poses knowledge, but has a real problem with sending you to a specialist (you must really influence him, he will hardly ever suggest it to you). Twice his diagnosis was guessed and ended up being apsolutely wrong, but in the meantime caused me a lot of worrying and fear. The wait in the waitnig room is always 2+ hours, and to make an apponintment is rarely under two weeks. It made me go to the nearest clinic... Even when I fought with urinary problems for months, I was never told of the urinary infection I had, until I went to another doctor for something else, who accidentally had my analysis results sent to him also. He taught that was solved 2 months ago by Dr. Sijan. It wasn't.. He is pleasent with my child, but when we faced a more serious situation, I was treataed as overly worried mother who is overreacting. Until I finally got an appointment with the pediatrician, the problem was not resolved. It took 3 months to cure it. :-(

I am comfortable with him and he's easy to talk to about anything.The one thing I find he tends to do is try and skimp out on ordering tests for you and takes too much time at setting you up with a specialist.You have to beg for a specialist.He's friendly and respectful just hard to convince him that you need help or tests or a specialist.I understand that it's hard these days to see a specialist in the first place.It's hard to be in health care these days and have to make do with what you have.

I saw Dr. Sijan from when I was a small child until my early 20's. He prescribed me medication that was still in the testing phases, and even nurses I knew had not heard of these drugs. I finally switched to a fantastic MD, however my father continued with Dr. Sijan. He was diagnosed with a blood disorder and needed many blood transfusions over a 6 month period. Thank God for his oncologist... she was very helpful. My Dad was hospitalized with a G.I. bleed and spent 4 days until Dr. Sijan declared him healthy enough to return home. I could tell he wasn't well enough to leave and sure enough, he ended up being completely septic and died in Intensive Care three days later. I don't have a lot of respect for this doctor! He didn't even call to offer any condolences.

I've had this Dr. for 27 years and my son for 6. Although I am always waiting for Atleast an hour in his waiting room, I am willing to do that for the service I receive from him. He has been thorough and very helpful with our family. He has been great at diagnosing my son's illnesses and follows through on all testing and medications he has given. I like how he is personable and makes you feel comfortable and that you matter to him. Yes his waiting room is full and it takes a while to get in to see him, but I am happy to wait in order to receive good service. I believe Dr. Sijan is a good Dr..

This Dr. failed to notice that my infant son had pneumonia on his chest xray. It is a good thing I got a second opinion.
