Hands down best OB on the planet. Hand carried me through my highrisk pregnancy. Compassionate and caring beyond words. I'd like to add anyone critiquing him negatively was likely expecting a mind reading miracle worker which he's not. He's very humanistic and if you're kind to him you will receive the exact treatment in return.

Dr. Acker is hands down the best OB doctor that I have ever come into contact with. I have worked with many physicians in my profession and this man is the best. I had a very high risk pregnancy and never once was he rude or condescending. I have to believe the negative comments on this page are from one person out to get him. Everyone I have ever spoken to loves Dr. Acker. He not only listened to our questions and our challenging questions, he welcomed them. Any good doctor would, and he is one of the best. This is why he is always on the list for the best OB doctors in the country. I have had the last three of my four children with him and I could never imagine going through a pregnancy without him. He came out of another engagement just to be with us during our delivery - quite simply a CLASS ACT. My husband and I would highly recommend him. We have maintained a relationship with him throughout the years as our children grew and they love him too!

Kind, thorough, knowledgeable...We had a consult with him about our very high risk pregnancy, and he spent a lot of time with us and is providing all his personal contact information.

Condescending & sarcastic. Doesn't answer questions. Ignored my concerns and symptoms that I was going into preterm labor. Made me feel like a complainer. Delivered twins 9 weeks early. 7 weeks of NICU/Special Care Nursery. Never apologized or acknowledged that I was right. Stay away.

Fantastic doctor. If you are carrying multiples that are potentially high risk, this is your doctor. Please ignore the negative comments. If you recognize that you are not the expert, and listen to his advice and experience you will be happy.

outstanding doctor- he always took the time to hear me out- gave me all his numbers and I could reach him 24/7- he was incredible. Simplified issues into layman's terms. If I ever have another child- he'd be my doctor. couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Dr. Acker was my physician for a triplet pregnancy. I delivered at 26.5 weeks and unfortunately, he was not on call at the time of the delivery but came by to visit with me (and the babies) after the delivery. They were in the hospital for almost three months (until they were 39 weeks) and he routinely checked in with me about their status. During my pregnancy he was supportive, knowledgable and easily accessible for any questions I had. I find it hard to reconcile the negative comments posted with the doctor I know.

I saw Dr. Acker as an expert to advise on a very tricky pregnancy. After reading this website, i expected a jerk - but was pleasantly surprised to find the exact opposite. a very compassionate and wise man who only was thinking of my well-being and had excellent advice. also a good bedside manner. would use him again.

Very rude doctor. He didnt listen to my concerns as a patient at Brigham & Womens and I would not recommend this hospital as no one communicates with each other among the staff. Not to mention the nurses on the postpardum floor are very short and can be rude at times as well. I wish i had never delivered at this hospital as it destroyed the entire experience.
