I saw Dr. Billing’s through Queens student wellness services and she was very dismissive. I told her about my symptoms and what I had been doing and she basically told me to take some advil and deal with it. She had no care for how I was feeling and was very rude during my visit with her. She was also 20 minutes late which was not good!

If you'd like to be completely invalidated, go to Dr. Billing! She conducts each appointment with an incredible amount of condescension and lack of up to date medical knowledge.

was roughly 45 minutes late and is apparently reputable for being late. But as her patient, we have to be on standby on time. kept forgetting the information I provided, lacked the awareness of what treatment I needed or downplayed my symptoms as if I do not need the help I was diagnosed for from prior checkups with different doctors. Looked too stressed to really care, and honestly I would have just liked to go to a different doctor if I had a choice.

I saw Dr. Billings for over a year and never left an appointment feeling like I mattered or that my health was being prioritized. Going into my first appointment with her I had heard bad things but wanted to keep an open mind. Each time I gave it another chance because I thought maybe she was having a bad day, but I cannot exaggerate how terrible and unprofessional the medical care she provides is. She is rude, ignorant, speaks down to patients, and is very disrespectful.
She is consistently late to appointments, not just ten minutes late, but anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours late. In office the longest I waited was 45 minutes before she showed up, but I once had an appointment over the phone with her and she actually called 3 hours late - I had to call Student Wellness Services to ask if my appointment was still happening or if it got cancelled because I hadn't yet received a call.
She would also constantly ignore or downplay the symptoms I was experiencing and tell me that I was fine. She literally refused to perform a pap test on me when I requested one, disregarding the fact that I am completely eligible for one and I do believe it is a right to have access to such screening methods should one be concerned. I also once went looking to determine why I was constantly tired and sleeping most of the day, which was affecting my academics and day-to-day life, and she told me, verbatim, that I "just do too much". This explanation made absolutely no sense, so I pushed to have blood taken to look for some things. The bloodwork ended up showing some severe issues that needed to be addressed but would have been ignored had I not pushed for it. Finally, the last straw was when I requested refills on the medication I have been taking for my mental health for 5 years, which work extremely well for me, and she refused saying that I need a full psychiatric assessment and then would need to continue to be assessed monthly if I was re-prescribed them.
To say I am dissatisfied with her care and disappointed with Student Wellness for continuing to employ her is an understatement. Something needs to be done, do better Queen's.

My experience was horrible - she was uncaring, unkind, and standoffish. I understand that the medical profession is stressful and difficult, but that is not an excuse to be hostile to patients. They are seeking your help - help them! Do not belittle them or their physical and mental wellness. Do not dismiss their concerns. She should not continue to hold a position at Queen’s.

Dr Billing is nice enough to diagnose and offer treatment very rarely, so maybe you’ll just get better on your own! it’s better to keep your dignity intact than see a Doctor like this and “beg” for some kind of outcome. The truth is she is pretty standoffish and not compassionate but hey, at least she asks questions? My first appointment with her was quite long, didn’t end up with any outcome, my second meeting was like 2 mins, no big deal, that’s fine too. I understand why people are going to Telehealth and other medical professionals because this is a pretty dire situation when most doctors are just indifferent and it’s really hard to get treatment of any kind. If possible, I would recommend that to all students at Queen’s. I’ve had so much more help from therapists and nurse practitioners.

How I’m gods earth is this person a “doctor”. Seriously what’s the hiring process at Queens? I now understand why students would rather drown their depression with alcohol than see a person like this.

Constantly belittling, condescending to my mental health issues. During an over the phone appointment, Billing consistently invalidated my anxiety and the issues that led up to it. I felt like her lack of compassion made explaining the situation worse. As a WOC, I would not recommend.

I do not agree with a lot of these reviews. I have seen Dr. Suzanne Billings 4 times, and I have found her very caring and compassionate. She walked me through my procedures, making sure to explain everything she was doing. She answered all my questions and she always assured me that every question was an okay question, even if I thought it was dumb. She was kind and I would definitely see her again.

By far one of the worst experiences I have had with a doctor at student wellness. She was rude, dismissive and completely invalidated all of my symptoms, telling me there was nothing wrong. I have been in consistent pain for months now and she simply brushed me off, making rude comments the entire appointment. She did not order ANY tests, and instead prescribed me pain killers.... talk about a bandaid solution. If you can get another doctor at student wellness DO IT. I refuse to see her again.
