Dr. Bates had an unpredictable disposition. At times he would be warm & supportive but often he was very callous in his conduct & dismissive and downright unsupportive. His staff mirrored his mercurial service model. Hopefully he has retired and spared future people in need of his gruff dealings.

Excellent Doctor. if all I need is 2 minutes, i'm out in 2 minutes, When I need more time, he's there and doesn't rush me. He's always pleasant and upbeat and speaks in terms I understand. His office/nursing staff are awesome too. Very caring.

Great Doctor. Strait to the point and doesn't dumb anything down for me, which I like. I get the sense that he really knows his patients and speaks to their level. I don't see him very often but when I do it's always as pleasant an experience as can be expected under the circumstances.

Best doctor I have ever been to. Caring and intuitive. Dumbs it down for the layman. BIG heart and a truly caring man.

Dr. Bates has been our family doctor for 14 years and watched my children grow. He and his staff have always been helpful, understanding and caring whenever we have needed their help. We especially appreciate that he takes the time to listen rather than just push pills as an easy solution.

Bob has been my doctor since I moved to Belleville - 27 years ago. He is excellent. Kind, caring, compassionate and very knowledgeable/capable. Always has time to listen to my concerns. Best doctor in the area.

Dr. Bates has seen my 2 daughters into this world who are 15 & 9. They look forward to seeing Dr.Bates for their yearly check ups. My husband has also recently transferred to Dr. Bates as well. I trust Dr. Bates compliciantly with all of our care. He is a very caring Dr. who takes the time to listen to what you have to say & takes the time to explain things to you clearly. I also love that he is sooooo good with children and that he is so personable. We love you Dr. Bates!!!! :)
