I used him for my 2nd childbirth experience because unfortunately the doctor retired that I used with my first. He was respectful until my delivery. How AWFUL Dr. Leon Lewis was BUT Jesus is GREAT! He wanted to induce me. I explained to him with my husband present and his medical student present, that with my 1st childbirth experience as well as with my biological sister’s experience, that inducing is not needed and my baby will be here shortly. His response to me in front of his medical student, nurse, and my husband, “I know it’s like that for you and your sister but I am over this hospital…” and he insisted on induction. My husband intervened asking if I wanted more time & I said yes so De. Leon Lewis and his medical assistant left the room. The nurse immediately advised me, “That’s your decision.” Just a few hours later, I pushed my baby out by myself on the hospital bed holding the rails. Dr. Leon Lewis was not in the room and the nurse was at the opposite end preoccupied with getting ready for birth when my husband said, “Baby Out.” Dr. Leon Lewis came back in very condescending saying my baby was going to have to go to NICU. The nurses didn’t reply to him; needless to say that May baby never went to NICU and was discharged with me. The year was 2019 and that was my last time being a patient of his. They God for a healthy pregnancy, delivery, and baby❤️

Bedside manners during vaginal birth delivery was awful

Nearly 7 years ago in the spring of 2012 I developed severe preeclampsia at 32 weeks gestation. I was asymptomatic, so there were very few signs of the condition. Dr. Leon Lewis, even though it was less obvious, he didn't take any risks. Dr. Lewis acted quickly, and ended up delivering my baby 8 weeks early. Without his quick thinking, diligence, and care my daughter and I would not be alive today. I owe him a great debt.

I am currently a patient of Dr. Lewis & I am due in just a couple of months. I don't find him rude or anything like that, but I'm really indifferent at this point. I barely know him because quite frankly I can count on one hand how many times I've even seen him throughout my pregnancy. I'm not entirely sure how I'm expected to trust you with delivering my first child when there is no relationship between patient and Doctor. I was also told by another previous patient that he didn't even deliver her child. I don't see the point in appointing a specific doctor to be your obgyn if they're going to skip the most important part.
I chose Dr. Lewis because HE came highly recommended, not his staff.. but thus far I know his nurses and staff waaay more than I know the actual doctor when I'm visiting every two weeks.

After my experience, I probably wouldn't recommend Dr. Lewis to any other first time moms.

Yes he has alot of patients but i feel like we all are important! Hes always there to answer any questions .

I used Dr. Lewis because a friend recommended him to me. She had her baby five years before I did so something must have happened to turn him into a cold man in those years. I rarely ever saw him but when I did he was rude and condescending and treated you like you were scum. I never got in to see him without at least a two hour wait. I ended up having to have an emergency c-section and he had the guts to tell me that it was my fault I almost lost my baby during delivery because I wouldn't let him induce me. I'm on my second pregnancy now and chose a different doctor.

Has too many patients and doesn't take the time to explain conditions or medications to his patients. Put me on Lupron without asking my medical history or explaining to me the severe side affects. Since taking his highly recommended drug I have been severely depressed and borderline suicidal for 10 months. Thanks a lot, Dr. Lewis. Glad you're more concerned about getting your patients in and out than you are their well being.
