I have heard extremely positive things about this doctor. I tried to make an appointment, however one of the staff members refused to schedule one without my SSN. She stated they have to have this information so they can confirm my benefits. I do not give this information out and it has never been a problem in the past. I have seen many doctors before. I contacted my insurance provider and they confirmed that all they need to confirm my coverage is my birthday and subscriber ID, not my SSN. I call back and was unfortunately transferred back to her where she again refused to make an appointment and became irritated. Unfortunately, I will not be going to this doctor. Unprofessional and unacceptable.

When i first went to him in early part of 2004, I did not like him because i thought he was just another docter out to get you. But after a couple of time of seeing him,he became a great and knowlegeable docter. He help me through alot of hard time. He helped me with the copay when i was not insured, and he worked with me. Again he is a wonderful docter. I not moving out of town like i was going to because i refuse to change docters because save my life. I would recomment him to anyone.

Solid, "classic" doctor who cuts through the prevalent PC and tells you like it is. Re-diagnosed me, changed my prescriptions, and so far (1 week) results are much improved. Has a sense of humor which was very helpful in my treatment. I recommend him.

have to argue with staff about copay. keep charging for full amount. will not take calls from insurance company to resolve issue. insurance company was on hold over 30 minutes trying to resolve this. while the office would not get on the phone even after i told the office that it was my insurance company trying to resolve the issue. Finaly the Dr. himself came out and said that they would not talk to the insurance company and said that i should probably think about changing doctors. while in the office on this as well as several other occasions i have had conversations with other patients that were having the same problems about charging the full amount and not honoring the copay amount.

Dr. Madkeiker is ok. He is a psychiatrist so i did not expect him to speak much, only prescribe medication and send me on my way. He is not very personable and was filling out my prescriptions as i was speaking. He could try to spend more that 5 minutes with each patient. Just "ok"

Dr. Satyen Madkaiker successfully helped me control my atypical bipolar disorder after 10 years of hopeless agony and my first hospitalization. His staff is warm, knowledgable and courteous. (They even provide anti-bacterial hand gel at the counter for those who might need it.) Dr. Madkaiker saved my life. I recommend him to the highest degree.
