I was very excited about this appointment since I was hoping to discuss alternative/new treatments for breast cancer in an effort to avoid chemotherapy. Perhaps my appointment should have been given for a different time since the doctor seemed to have a lot going on in that he received two cell phone calls during his very short time with me and placed another as he left the exam room. There was very little conversation, no new treatments were discussed. Suggestion was made that I go forward with chemo, surgery and radiation.....the standard protocol....what happened to the new treatment options??? All in all I was left with the feeling of being nothing more than a number.....what a total waste of time and money.
