I have been with Dr Murty for over 10 years and have followed to each location...She has made something I once dreaded I bit more pleasurable. The only negative I can really say is she has changed her locations several times and not always accessible..

Knowledgable and most patient. I have seen her recently for a few dental issues of which none were previously diagnosed. She was patient and explained things calmly without rushing. She's awesome.

Dr. Murty is one of the most kind dentists I have ever met and her knowledge is amazing. I relocated recently from Vancouver and was skeptical to seek treatment here in Halifax after seeing 6 other Halifax dentists in the downtown sector! Dr. Murty was the only one to explain things in detail and with utmost patience. If anyone has a negative comment to say, it is probably them and certainly not her!

Dr Murty is one of the most amazing dentists I've ever seen in my life. I don't understand why people have had a negative experience and may be through their own personalities. I have been seeing her for 6 years and she's always been professional and knowledgeable in my opinion. She has catered to my traveling lifestyle for work to a great deal of satisfaction as I am only home 1 week out of every month. Her assistant is amazing and both have a very good sense of humor which I exercise each time I visit. I highly recommend her and will miss seeing her when I move out of province. She is helpful in a way to even respond to emails that you send her personally. Everyone has an off day, we are not all perfect and I'm glad to say that only the few negative posts are here and here is a positive one to even the playing field.

After a check up Dr. Murty advised that I required several fillings(4-5). I was really surprised as I had not had any problems with my teeth at all. She looked at the x rays with me and attempted to point out where the teeth required fillings. I couldnt really see much and Im not an expert on reading dental xrays so I decided to seek a second opinion. As well she was unprofesional in speaking to me about it in the waiting room on the wait out the door. She seemed quite upset that I did not accept her dignosis and proceeded to ban me from seeing any other dentist in her office. I saw another dentist and in his opinion I did not require any fillings. I was quite shocked. It is not uncommon that dentists will do unneccesary work, it's very unethical! This was three years ago or so and I still have not needed a filling. Be aware!

She is not as smart as most dentist are. She has this tendency to brush things off easily. Just because a Dr. smiles does not make them a great DR. Its all about the knowledge, which is something she lacks in.

Dr. Murty really needs to understand dentistry a little bit more before she sees any patients. She is "not" an up to date dentist. I would recomend doing more research before seeing her.
