He's been my doctor for several years, and I trusted him. However, when he gave up his private practice and joined DuPage Medical Group, he's become inaccessible by phone. On my last office visit, he added a 4th BP drug. After I picked it up from the pharmacy and read the patient insert, I was very concerned about a specific side effect and an interaction with a drug I already take. I called his office and left a message on the nurse line (the only option, unless you want to make an appointment.) I promptly got a callback, explained the problem again, and was told "Every med has side effects; the benefits outweigh the risks." I explained again; they called in a drug that I've taken before and had severe swelling from it. I called again, talked to a nurse, and they called in a name-brand drug (not covered by my insurance) that is simply the name-brand of the generic they called in the first time. I asked to speak with the doctor, and was told I need to make an appointment. REALLY???

My visits to Dr. DeLew have always been a positive experience. The staff is terrific, on time, very helpful. Dr. DeLew addresses my concerns. Sometimes I think he is more concerned for me than I am for myself. He encourages me. He is a very positive person. I feel uplifted when I leave. I am thankful to have such an attentive Doctor. I have recommended him to some of my closest friends. We are fortunate to have Dr. DeLew as our physician.

There are not enough good things to say about Dr. DeLew and his staff. He genuinely cares about his patients; takes time to talk to his patients and discuss issues and options. I have been in the hospital and he will visit not just once but twice daily. He will work through costs of prescriptions with you and enusre that he gives the best options available for the patients without sacrificing quality of the drugs needed. The person who gave a very poor rating in 2006 must have the wrong physician...or perhaps they couldn't get the drugs they wanted out of Dr. DeLew and so wrote their little poison pen rating. They are SO, SO wrong. Dr. DeLew is the best!

Dr. reviewed my issues and referred me to a specialist. Agreed with diagnosis and taken it into account on all followup visits, even if problem unrelated.

Can't think of anything good to say about this man. It's so clear he is a doctor for the money, not the care and concern for the patients. Three neighbors besides myself went to him when our doctor retired. Big mistake. We all dropped him like a bad habit. He gave meds without reviewing patient's history. He's a nightmare; uncaring, unknowledgable, and someone to stay away from. I wish I never met him.He gave prednisone for twelve years, hydrocadone, vicadin, actos, and a host of other liver damaging medications. He is not thorough, accurate or any other important traits for a doctor to have. I hope he gets as good as he has given to my family. He's in the wrong profession.
