Worst analyzation. Told me I was just having migraines when I found out through another neurologist, a sleep deprived EEG, and an MRI that I have epilepsy.

I had a Grand Mal Seizure, so shortly after had an appointment with him. He assumed I was just back in the office for what he felt was just migraines and practically had me out the door before I asked him if he wanted to hear about my seizure. In a look of shock, he said, "oh ya, probably be a good idea". He asked if I had an EEG done, which his department had done a week earlier and he was supposedly suppose to do all the readings for (and hadn't)! He then turn to me and asked if I thought the EEG would be normal. How would I know??? My MD has been asking for an MRI for months prior to all this happening. He finally ordered the MRI. I have been waiting for months to find out the results of it and what it all means. I'm switching Neurologists as a result!

He uses antiquated methods to evaluate pain or reflexes. He lifts patients hand to a neutral position on the side and tests for pain with his scope. He doesn't acknowledge three extremely and obviously sore spots (bulging discs): in neck, upper/mid back and lower back as a result of severe whiplash. Even though patient was obviosly in pain due to jumpy reaction to his very light touch. Instead he claims the the vertebraes are sore? I tape-/videorecorded the whole visit. I'm barely able to sit at my desk most days more than half an hour without a 15 minute stretching/pain management session. I remember waht kind of harassment I went through after accident, and it seems this witch hunt never ends. I have no previous injuries in my back nor complaints.

Dr. Tessler was my IME Doctor. ICBC lawyer sent him after repairs vehicle pictures: Is Dr. Tessler a psychic car mechanic? NO. He claims to be independent, but anyone to assume "you won't get a penny comment" or "present youth is 10X smarter than a 40+ yr old" as a sense of humour is mistaken. Dr. Tessler won't report objective findings rather than what lawyer wants to be negated. There are ways to document what was communicated. I learned from my first IME with an other Doctor that to protect yourself from "grazy mumbo jumbo" keep records. One day in front of the judge the Doctor's credibility instead of yours will be questioned. I CAN prove every word. The fact he brought the money issu(penny comment) when I wanted to get back to work through rehabilitation, shows him this was about money and to me it is about my career limitations, losses and life. Other Doctors report objective findings. IME is used to downgrade legitimate health issues for profit of ICBC and its reps. ERF(C)2009

What a putz! No thanks to Dr. Tessler I'm not a parapalegic today. I was referred to him in 2002 by my GP when I had some serious back problems. I still have detailed notes on my symptoms which I provided him. After two visits and some antiquated tests he told me he couldn't find anything wrong with me. His attitude seemed to be I was wasting his time. A year later I was under the knife, twice, the second time at the VGH spinal unit in a 7 1/2 hour marathon surgery, to remove a calcified herniated disk from my spinal cord. If it wasn't for the really dedicated and capable surgeons I met along the way I would have really been in the soup. Dr. Tessler seemed to be more interested in selling me on a private clinic MRI than in diagnosing my condition, although he wouldn't explain what an MRI would do for me. I can't help but feel that if he had shown some compassion and professional diligence during my visits my family and I would not have been put through the eventual trauma that we were.
