The office staff is terrible as far as scheduling MRIs. I had to call them several times to get one scheduled. Mulpur is ok..but his bedside manor needs improvement.

The staff is simply horrible. I am an active duty Soldier and my referral was denied by the “office manager”. I never even got an opportunity to speak with the medical provider. The ill-tempered and inarticulate front-woman for Dr. Mulpur would not even schedule an appointment for me unless my Doctor personally called her and requested the visit…despite the fact that I had my medical records available.
I do not know if it is the hubris Dr. Mulpur, or the cheaply bought superiority of the secretary that prevented the scheduling of my appointment, and I guess I will never know as I will seek assistance elsewhere, and I recommend you do the same.

Dr. Mulpur is the third Neurologist I've been to since 1992. The first doctor I had when i was young treated me like i was a child and that my epilepsy was not something i needed to concern myself with. Feeling that it was better if he talked privately about me to my parents. The second Neurologist i encountered was terrible. She didn't care about her patients and made them wait for hours in her waiting room and then spend no more then 5 mins with them often leaving questions unanswered. Needless to say when I finally had had enough and asked for a referral from my family doctor i was nervous. I have been VERY pleased with Dr. Mulpur and his staff. I waited no more then 5mins to be called back and waited and even shorter amount of time for the doctor himself. I was impressed that he gave me a complete nuerological exam upon first meeting me, but most i was impressed with his desire to hear from me what was going on. He listen attentively and answered all my questions. Because of Dr. Mulpur I am now several months medication free and 10 years seizure free. I would absolutely recommend him.

I was having very bad headaches. I saw an ENT who recommended I see a neurologist and recommended Dr. Anjaneyulu Alapati. I called this office and the receptionist was extremely rude then put me on hold. After ten minutes of holding, I hung up and called back. I could hear them laughing and joking but was immediately told HOLD PLEASE and was put on hold again. This happened four times until I finally was able to talk to this rude receptionist again and was told the doctor's first available appointment was two months from then. I called my ENT's nurse back and asked for another referral and was told to call Dr. Mulpur. His receptionist was extremely pleasant and helpful and I got an appointment immediately. Dr. Mulpur was very gracious, compassionate, very knowledgeable and helpful. His student intern, Trevor, was just as wonderful and compassionate and listened and talked to me like I he really actually cared. Dr. Mulpur's entire staff was exceptionally wonderful. I highly recommend him.

Saw dr mulpur in Huntsville hosp after being told I was having a stroke in the Er- he ordered a MRI which I had to remind the nurse that I suppose to have at 330 AM THE NEXT MORN. Mulpur came back the next evening and told me the demylination on my brain was from migraines. Funny, I don't have migraines. What I do have is tingling in random parts of my body, a squeezing around my ribs that causes my abs to tingle, my head felt crazy as if it is being eat up and I couldn't think clearly and my eye hurts and it's blurry. I told this to the Dr in his office and he assured me after making me walk on my heels for three steps that it was my HORMONES and I would just have to deal with this for another ten years. I looked at him and said really? Funny, I have had a complete hysterectomy! He didn't know that I have suffered with this craziness for over 15 years because he didn't take the time to ask! I would not recommend anyone in Huntsville!

Dr Mulpur is great! Very knowledgable on many disorders. Will listen to you and takes your opinions into account (won't force you into treatment you are uncomfortable with). Due to him I am now seizure free!

I was referred from a specialist and presented with unusually harsh symptoms. His exam was thorough and he listened and took great notes. However, nothing was accomplished and my symptoms have since worsened. He ordered a test after my persistence to do "something" to help me. He said he had no idea what was wrong with me and that I should go somewhere else because I was "beyond his scope of practice"....Hmmmm. Working in the medical field I was shocked to say the least. He didn't perform any nerve conduction tests and when I requested a referral to somewhere else, stated he couldn't. I would have to have my other doctor do it because he didnt know what was wrong with me or who to refer me to....I understand that I'm a complex case but do not get the inability to refer me to someone who COULD possibly help me...Can't say I would recommend him. Fortunately I am now in the hands of a Nashville doctor who has assured me he will get to the bottom of this and run all necessary tests.
