Dr. arrogant ---was obviously in a hurry and quick to anger

Dr. Herceg performed surgery on my spine for disc , and 2 months later the leg weakness, numbness returned worse than before and without checking, he send me to physical therapy, which was not helping so I return and was told that nothing was wrong I was approved to return to work, which I had been back to work. I gave him all my symptoms and was told that only thing left was another surgery or acupuncture, however if he can’t find any issues why would I need surgery or acupuncture. Left and made appointment with my doctor office CNP would within 3 minutes checked and sent me to ER which shows I had a blockage in my neck, if at anytime Dr. Herceg would have check me he would have know I had blockage that requires surgery immediately.

I have had 4 surgeries by Dr. Herceg. One neck surgery and 3 lower back surgeries. The neck surgery was very successful. The firs two lower back surgeries were the less invasive and did not do the job completely, so we finally did a back fusion whick sloved the problem. The recovery is long and painful but I fill like I have my life back! If you want someone warm and fussy Dr. Herceg is not the Dr. for you. However he is the only Dr. thatsolved my problem. My last surgery was in Jan. 2015 and I am now ccompletely pain free.

Great surgery results and very efficient. Don't go to him if you're looking for thoughtful bedside manner. He's nice but didn't spend much time. After my surgery I had alot of questions that I had to figure out on my own or call back for. However, the work he did on me was great and completely solved the problem.

I had a fusion and was initially concerned about dr Hercegs reviews. However after consulting with family I decided to go with him. He was very polite and professional. He didn’t spend much time with me, but I was prepared for that. I preferred skill over bedside manner and that is what I got. I had an MRI which is what he needed to fix the problem. He did a wonderful job in the OR which is what counts. I can get bedside manner from the staff at his office and the nurses at the hospital. What I needed from him was t o fix my back and he did just that. If you want a schmoozy doctor, you may want to avoid Dr. Herceg. On the other hand if you want a skilled and knowledgeable surgeon, he is your man. He does depend on his staff for question answering. I did reduce his helpfulness review due to his bedside manner, but would choose him again any time.

I wish I had seen these reviews before I started seeing Dr. Hecerg. He has absolutely no bedside manners, spends less than 5 minutes with me, would mainly address my husband even though I was the one in pain (like hello...is this the 1950's) seems to be in a rush and he did not even check me at all. I will definitely be getting a new doctor. Lessons learned .... read the reviews!!! Worst doctor ever.

Dr. Herceg is the worse doctor I have ever seen. He spent less than 5 minutes with me as new patient and doing an intake. He prescribed physical therapy and started to head out the door without examing me and while I was still trying to tell him that I was having trouble with leg weaknesses/numbess and incontinence. I started to cry and explain I was in excruciating pain. He was clearly annoyed and said he would write me an rx for Valium and walked out the door . He said to his nurse "we got tears in there -she is a crier". He handed her the script to give me and walked away, not even saying good bye. I was appalled by his behavior and the fact he did not do an examation or an intake with me. I ended up in the ER three days later and diagnosed with a ruptured disc that is compressing my spinal cord. I am having surgery to prevent permament nerve damage and loss of bladder control.

Been dealing with lower back pain for quite a few years. I was seeing another doctor at Orthopedic One and was told there was nothing more that could be done except for surgery. I met with Sr. Herceg and he explained everything throughly. He fused my s1, l5 and l4. It's been a little over 2 weeks and I am already working out again on an exercise bike. My pain I used to have is gone. Still stiff from surgery but that will continue to get better. Very satisfied.

Dr. Herceg performed surgery in April, 2015. Very extensive surgery. Ten pins and two rods. Long recovery and rehabilitation followed. I trust his knowledge 110%. He gave me my life back. Thank you. Dr. Herceg.

Wonderful staff! Dr Herceg is a great surgeon! I had neck surgery performed, pain was gone immediately! Very perfessional Doctor, will recommend him most definitely .
