My daughter went to this doctor for a consultation about a mole. He is very arrogant. the total time spent with her was 2 minutes. We were charged $188 for this visit. He didn't even examine her mole. He didn't even has this special dermatology magnifying glass, used by dermatologists. He was not supportive or explained anything to her. He just referred her to remove the mole to another dermatologist, because he" doesn't do" surgical removal of moles. He didn't do a biopsy either. She asked him for treatment for her acne, so he gave her something which burned her skin. He" doesn't like" to prescribe Accutane, which is the only proven effective one
Going to this doctor is a waste of time and money. Just because he is In Baylor Medical College, people think he is a good doctor. Unfortunately this is not the case. No wonder he is getting bad reviews from different people. Make yourself a favor and find a good one.

Very unconcerned about my health. I waited for over an hour and a half to see the dr. He biopsied a couple of places on my face and left the room. I had to ask the nurse what was going on. He was finished! When I returned for a follow up a couple weeks later, the nurse removed my stitches and my face was bleeding??? I inadvertently handed the bloody tissue to the dr and he jumped back like a silly kid. He told me it was "probably ok" because I "look healthy!". What? This guy is the head of the dermatology dept?? Not impressed at all.

Showed me no patient empathy. Kept me waiting for over an hour...just in the exam room. Once he finally came in was uninterested and looked at his watch 3 times stating that it was late in the day. Paid little attention to my problems and walked out of the room within 5 minutes. He may be intelligent, but has NO people skills whatsoever. I would NOT recommend this doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr Wolf's for about 6 years. Today I finally have had enough. Last visit I waited over 2 hours. As I waited I could hear him visiting and laughing with other patients. I don't hold that against a Dr if he is on schedule. He treated me although he did shock me with a medical tool while burning something off my skin. I wrote him a letter explaining I just couldn't wait that long anymore and what a shame he couldn't run a more efficient operation. He was nice enough to call me at work and apologize and assure me he would do what he could to avoid it happening again. Today I had a noon appt. I asked the receptionist if he was behind when I signed in 10 min early. She said he was just a little bit behind. When he was 30 min late I went and checked with her again and was told I was next. At an hour I went up and was told not much longer. At an hour and 10 min past my appt time I told them to give me my file. I was going to find another Dermatologist. Not worth it.

I am a long time patient of Dr. Wolf and I have found him to always be kind and compassionate. He has gone to great lengths to find medical care I needed. I hold him in very high regard all through the years. It is true the phone systems are poor and the wait can be very long, and calls are not always returned, but Baylor Dermatology is the best in town I believe. That's why the office is packed.

I went in for a skin biopsy. Dr. Wolf is prestigious in the medical community, but his bedside manner is seriously lacking. I found him distant, rushed, and annoyed at answering questions.

Huge delays, up to 2 hours- take a novel. Odd in this day that the patient care is so poor. 1 month to get an appt, no waitlist (they tell you to call each day and check for cancellations- I did 7 days in a row-obvious the scheduling lady didn't even look, she said "no" so fast.) Once you finally get IN, staff is friendly. Wolf was unable to diagnose and I appreciated him getting 2 other MDs on the spot who could. They don't take my insurance, although I kept insisting it was Out of Network- they'll pay anyone, so I paid in full. Took 11 days to get the biopsy results back. REAL long time when you're wondering if you have cancer. Wolf said it was the patient's responsibility to call and ask. His tech assured me the nurse would call me when she received them. Whatever the confusion, I finally called on day 9. Their phone system is so archaic, if the nurse is on her line you get a busy signal and then hung up on. Unbelievebale in 2008.

Dr. John Wolf Jr. failed to test my father for skin cancer even after repeated requests from my father to check a spot on his nose. As a result, my father had to have major surgery and skin grafting once the spot was biopsied by another doctor. This man does not listen to patient concerns and disregards any questions the patient may have about his condition. Despite his prestigious position within the medical community, this doctor does not have the bedside manner, the attentiveness, the time, nor the interest in patient care that is necessary for him to adequately diagnose and treat diseases of the skin.
