If you are on your death bed, then fine. I would suggest use him. But if you have multiple injuries and you are not dying. Do not let this doctor touch you. HUGE RED FLAG! His main concern is milking your insurance company for everything they have. He doesn't care if he fixes you right the first time. Because that will draw out more insurance money. He doesn't listen to your concerns. I think he just likes to hear his own voice. If for some reason you have to see him, by ALL means get a second opinion from somebody else. The next Red Flag is him recommending the Ortho Rehab Group. I'm willing to bet he has shares in this institution. Staff is good. That's where they get you. The physiotherapy there is anything but competent. Careless and futile. Run to the hills people!

My son got treated recently for his fractured bones and we had a good experience with him and especially his staff. I would definitely recommend Dr. Paitich to anyone looking for a good orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Paitich has been my orthopaedic surgeon since 1994. I have been very satisfied with the care he has given me and with the outcomes of the treatments. The first arthroscopy on my right knee relieved my pain for about 12 years. I then tried a Synvisc injection that took some 3 months to become effective and only worked for about 18 months. That was followed by a second arthroscopy on the right knee that was effective for about 10 years. In 2018 I decided it was time for joint replacement in both knees, and since the left knee had been taking the load for 24 years I opted to have it done first. That surgery took place in Jan 2019, and 6 weeks later I was on a vacation and walking up to 15,000 steps per day. My right knee was replaced in Dec 2019 and recovery has been even faster. My legs are straight -- and the same length -- and friends have marvelled at how well I am walking and how my posture has improved. Dr. Paitich has always been straight forward with me over all this time regarding the problems, possible solutions and expected outcomes. I would not hesitated recommending him to anyone.

I have a long history with Dr. Paitich. I was originally referred to him in 2005 for rotator cuff repairs on both shoulders. He did both operations successfully. He then treated me for osteo arthritis in both knees, and eventually both hips. He ended up replacing all 4 joints one by one over 5 years, every surgery went as planned with excellent results. Twelve years later, the shoulders are both in need of replacement, and Dr. Paitich has referred me to his colleague for that surgery. I went through many injections of artificial fluids in both knbees before giving in to surgery, but Dr. Paitich was great all the way down that road. My arthritis is genetic, so the results are expected, but his surgeries were done to perfection, and his follow-ups were also great, making sure I got the best from the artificial joints. Thanks Dr. P. for taking such good care of me for so long!

Man is a devious. Here are some of the ratings from his own patients. Goes to show just how capable he is.

Misdiagnosed problem, rude, unsympathetic as a care provider. Was very disappointed with my encounter with this doctor.

Is he a chatty person, no. Is he an excellent technical surgeon, yes. My knee replacement was fully explained to me and any and all risks were thoroughly explained prior to the surgery. Surgery went extremely well, and I had the fewest problems of my hospital roommates (different surgeons, same replacements). Was booted out of physio early because I had reached the goals. Others in physio had a longer recovery and some recurring problems. Only problem I have is the government buys cheap parts. And I doubt this part will last ten years.

This forum should be based on individuals experience with the doctor. To those who comment on others opinions (i.e. can't believe negative/positive comments) stick to giving your own opinion with the doctor. I saw this doctor and my experience was not stellar. I have seen numerous MD's over the past few years and we did not click. I did not find him helpful. He was punctual and polite but I did not find my visits with him beneficial.

This doctor did an 'independent' examine on me 16 months after I was involved in a MVC. He barely assessed me and was far more interested in finding out about any previous accidents I was in and what the settlements were for, if anything. How on earth does that have any bearing on my current physical state?? The physical exam - if you could even call it that - was only a few minutes long and I was quickly dismissed from his office. I left there wondering what kind findings he could possibly take from having me bend over and then measuring one of my calves. When I received a copy of his report from my insurance company and read it through, I noticed that some of the information regarding my current physical state was missing and he mentioned findings of physical tests on me that he never actually did, not to mention stating inaccurate information as well. It was very clear from the first few minutes of that appointment that he wasn't truly interested in my best interests and I should have gone with my gut instinct to halt the examination right there. My advice if you're referred to this doctor for a third party assessment? REFUSE and ask for another physician. Another good tip... make sure it's a physician who is aligned with the problem(s) you have. If you want to know if I really need acupuncture, don't send me to an orthopedic surgeon.

I was directed to Dr. Paitich because of an issue I had with my left arm. He diagnosed it as a small team in my epichondilitis, essentially tennis elbow. Without any surgery needed, he was able to treat the injury and I am now back to doing everything without any issues.

He was attentive, knowledgeable, helpful and saw me right on time.

I would recommend him to anyone.

I fail to understand how this man could ever be considered a doctor and be allowed to practice as one. And Canada takes great pride in being a G7/G8 country. He is a pathological liar and should consider acting as he did a great performance at my trial as a defence medical examiner. All he is interested in was receiving $25,000. In order to conceal the gross negligence of his allies, the TTC; he covered vital information and perjured himself on the witness stand by stating that according to the AMA, 3mm or more is considered a displacement but in a written report he stated 2mm or more is considered a displacement. His entire opinion was based on a 5-minute examination and a 15-minute interview with me 2011. At trial, I questioned him if he thought I was an idiot to be stating that I am still in excruciating pain, he stated that my pain was genuine due to nerve damage not caused by my ankle injury but due to other causes. I do not suffer from diabetes, shingles or any other disease that could possibly cause damage to my nerves. Below are some of the reviews from his own patients. He received a few good reviews but only related to knew replacements and not a single related to ankle injuries.
