My story is long and complex, however, the long-story short is:

If you've had problematic eye surgery, Dr. Steinsapir is the person you MUST see to fix it.

Between them, Dr. Steinsapir and Faith are both saving lives and healing people, "one eyelid at a time."

I'm still on my healing journey with them -- but I'd like to share my experience, and hopefully inspire you to reach out to them.

Let me tell you my story.

I had unnecessary eye surgery in the UK. And it went wrong. Corrective surgery also went wrong. I was left with severe scleral show, a change in eye shape, and other problems I simply didn't comprehend.

I visited all the top oculoplastic doctors in the UK. Nobody could help. I felt that I'd lost my "soul"... my eyes represented an empty hollowness that resulted in me withdrawing from the world...

I finally decided that I need to see a specialist overseas. So, the search began... Dr. Taban, Dr. Massry, so many big names... who would be the best?

I was mainly interested in Dr. Steinsapir, who had written many whitepapers, and clearly dealt with the most complicated cases.

I visited his office in Beverly Hills, and he spent MANY hours with me. Every other "specialist" I saw gave a cursory glance at my eyes, and reached for an instant conclusion.

Dr. Steinsapir was different. He took time to listen to my story, to understand my surgical history, to check the health of my eyes (functionally, as well as aesthetically), and to propose a solution.

He also honestly explained that a "one and done" solution isn't always possible, and that different aspects have to be addressed separately, to ensure proper healing. (Beware of those that say they can "fix everything" in just one operation, especially with the eyes... it's simply unrealistic, and you'll struggle when the results don't fit.)

Over the course of several operations, Dr. Steinsapir's incredible attention to detail and insights have helped me to gradually heal... both physically, and emotionally.

His follow-ups, his personal phone calls, his utter professionalism... he is nothing short of a genius and an artist. He "gets it" when others DON'T.

A few things to note...

Firstly, Dr. Steinsapir will NOT sugarcoat or gaslight you. One Doctor once told me there was "nothing wrong" with my eyes, as though he were the determinant of that fact. You don't get this with Dr. S. He under-promises, over-delivers, and will tell you what is realistic, and what isn't. When I'm healing and things look messed up, he will say... it looks messed up. And it's very empowering to feel validated, after every other doctor tends to make excuses about their work.

Secondly, the office is METICULOUSLY organized. After many visits, I have never (ever!) seen anyone else there. Appointment times are reserved exclusively for you, and the attention you receive is unlike any other office. Please, trust me when I say this. There is a rhyme and reason behind the way everything is put together, even if it seems a little complex. Try to trust the process. And don't be put off by having to leave a voicemail when you call; once you've connected, this office WILL take care of you, and will not abandon you.

Thirdly, FAITH. If you work with this office, you will work with Faith. And Faith is incredibly special. She has been the greatest support to me throughout my journey. She has called when she sensed I've been upset. She has helped counsel me when I've been on the edge of reason. She has helped assure me throughout my healing. Her wisdom and empathic insight is something that I am in awe of. Please, be respectful of Faith and her talent; she helps to heal more people each year than most people would in a lifetime.

I could continue writing for pages and pages. But you'll soon get bored. So let me try to summarize.

The process of rebuilding and healing following poor surgery can be a traumatic one, and you need a true team to help you... a team that will collaborate with you, and find solutions together.

Now, I am still on that healing journey, but I know that I'm with the right people, and that they will stick with me until that journey is complete.

I couldn't be more grateful to both of them, and I feel extremely fortunate that I made the RIGHT DECISION to choose this office... and that they also chose me as a patient.

I visited Dr. Steinsapir because years of injections had changed my face. I didn’t recognize myself in the mirror. Working like a sculptor, the doctor dissolved the various fillers, revealing a younger looking me.
Dr. Steinsapir and Faith restored my self-confidence and I am grateful. They care.

Wow this Doctor knows his stuff. I've been to other Docs before and never had the professional, hands-on and meticulous work done like Dr. Steinsapir. He treats you like a movie star!

Dont trust anyone else with your eyes and face. I traveled. across the U.S, for reconstructive eye lid surgery to correct what another surgeon did poorly. I wish I had gone to him first. More than worth a sunny trip to LA.

I will never have service or surgery anywhere else. Dr. Steinsapir is brilliant and understands the anatomy like no other doctor I have ever seen. He is expert in his field. Do not go anywhere else, as you will regret your decision.

I cannot say enough about this clinic! It truly is the DREAM team with Dr. Steinsapir and Faith who is the patient coordinator. Not only do they genuinely care about their patience they answer ALL of your questions.

I had a REALLY traumatic experience from another surgeon I was operated on in Beverly Hills by (not Dr. Steinsapir) in 2018.

The other doctor bedside manner and lack of empathy for all the complication that happened post surgery was devastating and left me crippled with depression. I was unable to work, see friends, or be in social settings for over 4 Months.

No matter how many tv show appearances or how many “celebrities” the doctor has operated on, don’t make the mistake of choosing your doctor based on media coverage and Instagram popularity. The doctor I went to was really good at marketing but not great at patient care.

To make a long story short I consulted with 2 other oculoplastic surgeons in Beverly Hills. Who spent less than 20 mins with me which cost me $500 US (I am from Canada so the exchange rate hurts). To basically leave me more confused and frustrated.

When I found Dr. Steinsapir it was a complete 180. Faith ACTUALLY listened to me. She wears her heart on her sleeve and understands the trauma ppl face from other plastic surgeons. She makes you feel at home and understand your pain. I call her “mama faith!”

Dr. Steinsapir takes his time with you. He spent 3 hours with me and we discussed all Of my concerns! He didn’t make me feel rushed or like I was a “burden” like my original surgeon. He does a full analysis of your face with measurements and he actually sketches your eyes out. He is a true artist!

If you want your eyes operated on go to an oculoplastic surgeon not a doctor who does, breasts, butts, nose etc. They don’t specialize in the complex anatomy of the eye and it’s literally playing with fire. And as I have experienced even if you see an oculoplastic doesn’t mean they are going to be to help you.

If I had gone to Dr. Steinsapir in the first place I wound have saved myself a lot of time, money, and emotional and mental distress.

Even though I came into see about my eyes, he was the ONLY doctor who mentioned that He believed I had old filler that has migrated in other areas of my face.

Even though I had some dissolved by another doctor, he advised me to look at old picture of my face pre filler. When I did I was SHOCKED to see how swollen and puffy my face actually looked! So, I trusted him and he dissolved all my filler in my face. My face slimmed out right away (like 10 min after) he injected it. So I was really happy with the results. It took a few weeks to heal as a I bruised a bit, but I couldn’t be happy with the results. 2 weeks later I flew back to La and he did micro injections of Restylane in my face, on places he thought need a little bit.

I was SO nervous about putting anything in my face, but he explained each area he was going to inject and showed me the mirror each time asking if “that was okay and if I liked the way it looked.” Again he really knew how traumatized I was with everything I went through, so he took his time with me and explained why he thought certain areas would benefit with a small small small amount of filler.

My face looks like it did in my 20s, it doesn’t look puffy and inflamed anymore. And many of my friends have noticed, mentioning how defined my face looks! I couldn’t be happier with the results!

He will be my doctor moving forward for all my injectable and the doctor I trust to give me his honest opinion. I Highly recommend this clinic, they really put the CARE IN Patient Care!

I felt fortunate to come across Dr. Steinsapir's page while searching for help after a very unsatisfactory and disheartening eyelid surgery. When I contacted them to see if there was hope for me, Dr. Steinsapir's assistant Faith was able to give it to me. I felt like someone finally understood and cared about the emotional as well as physical affects a poor surgery can have on someone. Faith spent a significant amount of time on the phone with me leading up to my visit with Dr. Steinsapir and gave me an incredible amount of hope and encouragement. I felt like she did everything she could to fit me in to their schedule. She was very thorough in giving instructions so I had a good idea of what to expect during my visit. On the day of my visit Dr. Steinsapir spent a great deal of time going over my overall health, not just my concerns from the surgery. He was very thorough in examining and measuring my eyes; My original surgeon had not once measure my eyes before, or after my surgery. I appreciated that Dr. Steinsapir was very open and honest with me in letting me know my personal situation and whether or not he felt he could help. One thing that I do wish is that it would have been possible to give me some sort of a ball park figure of what the reconstructive surgery might have cost. Although I would definitely go to Dr. Steinsapir for the revision as I am completely trusting of his competency, sadly it is not something I am financially able to do at this point. I left feeling a little bit disheartenend for that reason. But as far as Dr. Steinsapir's competence and thoroughness I give him and his staff a 10 out of 10. I do feel they were willing to work with me in any way I need it, and I feel I came away gaining a friend in Faith and getting some good counsel. I only wish I had found Dr. Steinsapir before I had my original surgery. I would advise anyone who is contemplating this surgery to make sure you go with a Dr. who is thorough and has had much experience in these types of surgeries, which Dr. Steinsapir has. I would not want anyone to have to go through what I have been through. It has truly been devastating and I feel for others who have experienced the same plight.
Faith understands this and is very compassionate. For me however, I feel it is a bit too late and not financially doable. Otherwise I would have the revision in a second.
