Dr. Steinsapir is truly outstanding in his field as well as being a caring, compassionate human being. He only does in person consultations and spends hours with his patients to carefully asses in great detail what the best course of treatment is. He does not do "cookie cutter" consultations or give cookie cutter suggestions. This is unlike the other surgeons that I consulted with who spent about 15 minutes with me and made me feel like I was bothering them with my questions. I had the unfortunate reality of having unsatisfactory eyelid surgery with another surgeon 6 weeks ago. If you have gone through this, it is debilitating to say the least. I thank God that I found Dr. Steinsapir and his Medical Coordinator, Faith. They TRULY care about the well being of their patients and take as much time as needed with each one. I am so thankful I took the time and effort to go to LA to see Dr. S in person and now I will be his patient for life. I went in to have my eyes assessed and to figure out what could be done to fix them, but he also noticed that I had old filler spread out all over my face that was distorting it. He suggested a full enzyme to dissolve all of it and immediately I saw the incredible difference it made. I went from a rectangle to a heart. No other doc's recognized this, even though I had voiced my concerns about the rectangular shape of my face. I extended my stay in LA so that he could do a Restylane treatment in my temples and upper face. It made a lovely difference with the hollowness I was experiencing in those areas. I wish he could fix my eyes tomorrow... but I know I have to wait until they are fully healed before he can do anything. But now I have the hope that something can be done which literally will save my mental health in the months to come. I am so truly grateful for Dr. Steinsapir and Faith.

Dr. Steinsapir is really smart and his detailed eye for knowledge changed my life.

I have been doing fillers for over a course of many years. I was always told they last about a year and as a result, I would top up a little here and there when I saw their effects going down.

I went to Dr. Steinsapir for a consult about my eyelids and he suggested on a side note I should consider removing all the filler from my face as sometimes fillers stay in there for 8 years and even move around.

This was news to me.

No one had ever told me this before so I was a little reluctant but because I respected his results and his knowledge, I listened to every detail and decided to some research of my own.

I had been so used to looking at my face every morning that I wasn’t sure why he thought my face needed filler removal. I couldn’t see what he was seeing. So I put the idea on hold and did a little research only to find that not many doctors were saying the same thing. So I didn’t revisit the idea until my ex made a coincidental comment to me about a month later. He said I used to have a nice smile but because I had pumped so much filler in my face, he couldn’t see it anymore. He said I had natural beauty but I didn’t appreciate it.

His comment stayed with me for a few months and it opened the door to what Dr. Steinsapir had said. I began looking through old photographs to piece this all together. I kept doing more research because although the photographs were there, I still had a hard time making the connection to what my ex and Dr Steinsapir were saying. The photographs are 2 dimensional images of our 3 dimensional faces. With the different angels and lighting and the slight changes the fillers take, it was easier to sum up the results to older age or different lighting. I was also a little afraid to dissolve my entire face but something deep inside told me Dr. Steinsapir might be right.

I finally decided to go through with the full face enzyme. I remembered all the places I had once placed filler over the years. I had small amounts of filler in my jawline, my chin, my cheeks, under my eyes, my lips, my nasiolabial folds, my undereyes, even my nose! It was everywhere yet all between a span of 15 years so it wasn’t an overload look. I figured they had dissolved over time as every doctor had indicated they would.

I had no idea how wrong I was.

Immediately upon the first 5 minutes of injections, I could see my face going down. My nose literally got smaller right before my eyes. I was in awe especially over the nose because it was so instant! I guess I had filler in it for so long that I forgot how small it really was. The larger size made me look more masculine and threw my proportions off. It felt like I got an instant nose job. My cheeks did the same thing but those took more time. It’s almost like the filler had accumulated and worked its way way down my face because after the enzyme, my cheeks appeared higher which is what a young face is supposed to look like. My large, round cheeks were contributing to a masculine chipmunk/square look when in reality I had a heart shaped face underneath all that old filler.

The filler was also holding water so my face was looking unattractively full with no definition. My cheeks and nose were so big compared to my jawline and chin. The proportions had been thrown off but strangely, I didn’t even realize it because I had gotten used to the results. The filler results creep up on you in a way and they slowly change your face. You don’t realize it.

The enzyme made me look like I lost weight in my face so all my features were becoming more defined.

I was getting the depth dimensions back in my face! Something I had lost due to fillers piling up. My face was one connected ball. The definition lines under my cheekbones came back!

The enzyme kept working after I left the office and it literally transformed my face into someone I remembered from 10 years ago but hadn’t seen in so long.

It was a really nice experience!

I couldn’t stop looking in the mirror. I was scared if I got too excited it would go away because it was just such a powerful result. I couldn’t believe it myself.

My face looks younger and more attractive because it’s more natural now. My face was hidden behind so much old filler that I genuinely forgot what it looked like before. I’m so grateful to have crossed paths with Dr. Steinsapir. He truly is a very experienced, sharp and wise doctor. He is brilliant. He’s one of the good guys. You will come to find this the easy way or the hard way.

The only thing I regret is not having done this sooner. What he gave me back was so special that it feels like a gift more than anything else.

Thank you Dr. Steinsapir for taking time to truly understand how these fillers work and for sharing that important information with the rest of us. You truly added a great amount of improvement to my life.

I came to see Dr Steinsapir at a very low time in my life. About a year and a half ago I went through a horrible experience with a previous plastic surgeon who performed both upper and lower blepharoplasties that left my eyes not only hollow and tired looking but also terribly dry and uncomfortable. Instead of looking refreshed and younger I looked old and sick. I was devastated and went from being a very outgoing person to a completely miserable introvert. My whole life came to a standstill. I went to several Drs who used filler to mitigate the hollowness which helped somewhat but in some ways only made matters worse. I still didn’t look like myself and I continued to hide out at home as much as possible not sure what to do.
After much research I realized I needed surgical help and that’s when I made an appointment to see Dr Steinsapir. All I can say is that from the very first phone call I was so impressed with his office. Wow! His office manager Faith is unlike any other person I have ever met. She was so kind and reassuring when I called to schedule my appointment! After being harmed so badly by other Drs at first I had a hard time believing her kindness was for real but now I can attest 100% that it is. I was told that my initial appointment would take 3 hours which I couldn’t even imagine was possible considering my first surgeon probably spent less than 15 minutes with me as had other Drs I interviewed about a revision. When I met Dr Steinsapir I was beyond impressed. He is kind, direct and extremely knowledgeable. After a thorough examination he was able to tell me exactly what was wrong with my eyes and how he planned to fix the problems that were caused by my prior surgery. I felt an emotion I hadn’t felt in a very long time - hope. I knew right then that he was “the guy”. Faith guided me through all of the office paperwork and the surgery quote. I was surprised at the level of detail in their paperwork and their office policies but after going through my surgeries it all made perfect sense. Because of Faith this office runs like a well oiled machine! All of their protocol is in place to insure a seamless experience for their patients so once I decided to go ahead with my surgeries I followed their instructions to the letter. Boy, was it worth it!
As a side note, their receptionist Savannah is the sweetest, loveliest person who always greets you with a smile and a warm welcome. She is a huge asset to the team.
The surgery was not inexpensive by any means but it was worth every penny. Every surgery the Dr. does is tailor made to the patient. Not only was my initial consult three hours long but once I decided to go ahead with the procedure he spent additional hours with me prior to my surgery, answering all my questions big and small and discussing with me in detail the results we wanted to achieve. I was amazed by his level of care and attention to detail.
My surgeries went extremely well and I am beyond thrilled with the results!! I look like myself again but younger and fresher and prettier than I could have even imagined. Dr Steinsapir explained every detail of the surgery and what I could expect as an outcome and to be honest, I didn’t have very high expectations. I figured as long as there was some improvement both in appearance and comfort and I didn’t look worse I’d be good with that. So to have the incredible results that I do is truly unbelievable.
In addition, the after care I received went far beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. The Dr. made himself accessible in case I had any concerns and Faith checked in with me regularly- encouraging me daily as I went through the early days of healing.
I’m still early in the healing process (3-4 weeks) but I can honestly say I feel like Dr. Steinsapir gave me my life back. I’m able to see myself in the mirror without feeling a knot in my stomach and I’m able to look people in the eye once again knowing I look great. I feel and look beautiful! I can’t imagine where I’d be right now without this surgery and I will be forever grateful to both Dr Steinsapir and Faith. It has been a true honor to have been treated by such a brilliant surgeon and cared for by his truly lovely office manager. They are an amazing team!

He is not one to drink the ‘pharmaceutical company’ kool aid so to speak. I Felt I need to take this time to sincerely firstly praise Dr
Steinsapir, Faith and the medical team. Secondly, hopefully, my writings
will benefit, encourage and give confidence to readers out there to seek
out Dr Steinsapir for assistance especially in cases where you have had
a previous below par/botched surgical outcome(s).
I only truly understood what was wrong with my upper eyelids after finding Dr
Steinsapir's writings on posts and his videos.
I went to two different surgeons who suggested firstly (fat graphing &
skin removal) It was a total diaster!
BE WARNED! You can not find a surgeon closer to home or cheaper! There
is absolutely no 'alternative' Dr.Steinsapir's! Especially UK/EU
citizens you will fail miserably on trying to find a highly skilled
oculoplastic surgeon on this side of the Atlantic ocean! Please do not
be discouraged if you have to travel or you believe his fees are
expensive, you are doing a massive injustice to yourself!
Please do not be that fool like me! Trust your initiative once you are
graced to find Dr.Steinsapir stick and go to him especially if you have
had previous unsatisfactory/botched eyelid surgery. He is unique in his
craft, as he is the only surgeon in the west that successfully is
practising and executing the 'anchor blepharoplasty' technique. If you
are suffering from (PUBS) Post Upper Blepharoplasty Syndrome ) then
only Dr.Steinsapir can accomplish that type of revision surgery.
He KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING and actually FIXES your problem from the root
cause unlike the majority of these so-called laughable specialised
surgeons out there.
To be able to see Dr.Steinsapir was not possible without the truly
magnificent Faith she is an integral part of the journey. Faith is a
delightful precious motherly figure..... Just such a beautiful soul.
From the first communications with her, she was always was on hand to
listen and answer any questions I posed.
Faith is a whiz and works extremely hard to put the needs of the patient
above anything else, nothing was too much for her she is efficient,
concise and a true diamond.
Faith is such a tiny petite woman but has such a huge heart, I
absolutely love her! I know you will too after meeting her.
Dr Steinsapir is not one to lull you into a false sense of security by
telling you what he thinks you want to hear or sugarcoating his analysis
of you. He is astute, judicious and straightforward talking.
He has a microscopic eye and is very precise with his attention to detail.
Dr Steinsapir is very detailed and direct with his diagnoses and his
individual plan he will formulate for you, he will scrutinise your eyes
and deals with measurements within and below 0.5 millimetres this is how
accurate he is.
If you ever get the privilege to be examined by Dr Steinsapir you will
see his rigid concentration as he measures your eyes from
different angles with different tools he is extremely meticulous in his
work he truly has the midas touch anything he touches turns to gold!
My surgery with Dr.Steinsapir went exceedingly excellently. I am very
happy with the results my eyes look and feel brilliant they have been
restored I have creases and fullness like before.
My eyes are free! No more uncomfortable tightness! I can now look
upwards and my eyes close when I sleep. The scar revision is fantastic
and they have faded nicely with the surrounding skin.
I do not know how he did it but my old high scar folds under with the
new crease so they are not visible when my eyes are opened.

Dr. Steinsapir is truly embodies the importance of the human being behind any procedure or treatment. There are so many doctors that have amazing credentials, certifications, (and deceiving great reviews) but the accolades don't translate...

But I can vouch 100% on the quality and detail that translates for Dr. Steinsapir & Faith Gomberg. He fixed the filler under my eyes and in my malar festoons. I previously went to another doctor in Beverly Hills (who is rated 5 stars on RealSelf) - who seemed like a great solution to my chronic under-eye bags. This doctor started out trying to persuade me to do his patented Blepharoplasty surgery... I'm 25 years old and I want to avoid surgery - and I hadn't even tried a non-surgical procedure yet. Why would such a doctor try to push me to do such an invasive procedure when it was clear that methodical filler would do the trick? That was the first red flag. Then he filled my under-eyes in under 2 minutes and caused my face to bleed profusely. I had bruises for a 1 month. Clearly that other doctor did not have the care and compassion of Dr. Steinsapir. This doctor was a machine. Dr. Steinsapir is an ARTIST. BE CAREFUL!

Initially I hesitated to Dr. Steinsapir because of the price - how much more of a difference could be worth it for this much money? The other doctor was just as highly rated but was much cheaper. I never realized until seeing Dr. Steinsapir that sometimes you really DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Filler is not something just ANYONE can do - it's not a turn-key solution - the person who does it is ESSENTIAL.

I met with Dr. Steinsapir after being unhappy with my other Doctor. I would not compromise quality for price anymore. Right upon meeting him, he was so kind, thoughtful and classy! He right away emphasized NOT doing surgery and that he always avoids that unless absolutely necessary. Faith Gomberg, the medical consultant, was absolutely amazing as well. First-class help and kindness - she spent so much time explaining things to me and on the phone with me to talk about the procedures. She is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She cares just as much about the end result as you do!

When Dr. Steinsapir did the procedure, he spent 20 minutes on each under-eye - so extremely methodical - he's like a master artist. He's sees your whole face and the aesthetic to match the procedure - opposed to other doctors who work like a robot.

I cannot recommend Dr. Steinsapir enough. I am SO HAPPY with my results. He saved my under-eyes. He fixed the mess-up from the other doctor. The filler under my eyes had dropped down making my cheeks look puffy and actually increased my malar festoon lines. My face now has more of a heart shape and I feel confident smiling for pictures and not wearing make-up to cover my eye-bags. I'm getting married in a few months and I know I'm going to feel the most confident on the big day!

From the moment you walk into Dr. Steinsapir's office, you are greeted by a prompt and friendly staff. Dr. Steinsapir is professional, thorough, and takes his time instead of shoving products and procedures at you. He is honest in his evaluation and with his professional knowledge and skill you will be in good hands. Whereas other practitioners could not lift my eyebrows with botox, Dr. Steinsapir was able to do what others could not with his micro droplet procedure. Thank you, Dr. Steinsapir!

I made an appointment to see Dr Steinsapir after having an aggressive lower eyelid surgery with a NYC doctor who removed too much fat & skin from my eyes leaving me with pain, discomfort & lower lid retraction.
It is hard to put to words the feelings & emotions that one experiences when going through something like this. Many don't understand but when Faith from Dr Steinsapirs office reached out, I found someone who did. She spent hours on the phone with me over several weeks consoling me. She gave me hope, which may not sound like much to some, but once you've gone through something like this, you understand how much hope means.
My appointment with Dr S was much more involved than any of the appointments that i had with my original surgeon. Faith & Dr S took the time to understand not only my medical history but also the emotional toll of this. He took measurements & pictures, looked at old pictures of me & explained in depth what was going on & what he felt may help.
After going on consults with many doctors across NY, NJ & California, i learned that Dr Steinsapir is unlike any other doctor.
I've had surgeons who spent 5 minutes with me & recommend i have 3 major surgeries at once & right away.
Dr Steinsapir is the only doctor who spoke to me about the emotional, psychological effects of what happened. He's detailed, kind, compassionate & thoughtful, something i haven't experienced with most of the doctors I've consulted with.
After trusting a doctor who leaves you harmed, it is hard to trust again.
Even though I am too early for revision, i trust that when it is time I will be in the safest hands with Dr Steinsapir & his team.

(This is my original post, from another website. My recent update should also appear somewhere in the feed). JANUARY 2016 About five years back I had some bad luck with a cosmetic procedure performed by a London doctor. Over the next few years I found myself caught up in the dreaded downward spiral of procedure after procedure, hoping to either restore my original appearance, or to at least improve the upon what I was left with. Unfortunately, each subsequent procedure brought its own set of additional problems. ( And this despite the fact that after that first bad procedure I had made every effort to choose what I thought were the most capable surgeons.) No single subsequent procedure was an outright disaster, but each took me a little farther away from what I'd started with. Almost 6 years later I no longer looked quite like myself, and definitely worse than before I'd started it all (as several of my closest friends have admitted to me).
I had given up on ever being able to correct what I'd allowed done to my face, but thought perhaps I could improve my appearance by addressing a separate, unrelated problem which I'd long had, and had gotten worse over the years: a ptosis, or drooping, of my upper left eyelid, as well as bit of excess skin near the fold.
Having my eyelid ptosis corrected was not a decision I wanted to rush into. Eyelid surgery is very precise and very delicate, and I routinely see even wealthy and famous people whose eye surgery leaves them looking like different people. And of course, my own past plastic surgery results have been mediocre to poor.
I found Dr. Kenneth Steinsapir through RealSelf, and am very grateful to have done so. I flew to LA for a consult, based on my positive impression from his website.
My first meeting with him absolutely convinced me that I had found the right doctor. I was stunned by how much time he spent with me, taking very precise measurement after measurement, explaining everything in great detail, as well as explaining what sort of outcome he thought I could expect. He additionally identified a second issue with my lid, but told me correction of this second defect had a very good chance of causing permanent dry-eye, a complication he doubted I would find acceptable, and advised against it. I found his interest in making sure I was as informed as I could possibly be extremely reassuring.
He understood exactly the issues I'd had with my previous cosmetic procedures, and pointed out an additional issue caused by the fat-grafting I'd had done around my eyes. (That wasn't good news, of course, but I appreciated learning of it. He seemed to know more about fat-grafting than the doctor who'd performed the procedure.) I asked his opinion on several other surgical options I'd been considering, and he spoke very frankly with me about some of the complications associated with these, and probably saved me from making another disastrous mistake.
On top of this, he is a really wonderful man - very kind, pleasant, and interesting. When I flew back later for the surgery, he carefully retook all the measurements, and went over all the details again with me, to ensure that we both had the same understanding of what was going to be done in surgery. Everything was carefully planned and agreed to in advance - no 'winging it' on the day of surgery, or changes suggested immediately before surgery (as other doctors have done).
Post-op he saw me nearly every day for a week afterwards, to check on the progress of my healing! And the results of my eyelid surgery (now 4 months on) are exactly what he'd told me to expect, the expert work of a really talented doctor.
His staff were also really amazing. Faith, in particular, took such wonderful care of me, and I am so thankful to have had her support.
I've since returned to see him about improving on the results of those earlier procedures. He has an artistic eye coupled with an expert knowledge of human physiology, and really astounds me with his ability to accurately identify what the problem is and to find a solution to correct it. He has been able to make a marked improvement with Restylane injections, to even out irregularities and restore a more harmonious balance. He sees things that no other doctor seems to notice, and is as precise with his injections as he is with his surgery.
I can give Dr. Steinsapir my whole-hearted, most enthusiastic recommendation.

(I'm reposting here a review I originally posted on a different website) January 2019 Update review: It's been about three years since my earlier review (reposted below), so I thought I should provide an update. I still stand behind everything I wrote in my initial review. Dr. Steinsapir is the only surgeon I will ever see, and the only surgeon I feel absolutely confident in recommending to others. After having my life derailed by the botched work of other plastic surgeons, my ability to wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Steinsapir to friends and family is evidence of my absolute confidence in him and his abilities. I would never risk the health or happiness of people I love!
Since my initial review, I have had several additional procedures with the Doctor: Sub-mental liposuction and platysmaplasty, a temporal eye lift, and quite a few rounds of restylane, as well as the micro droplet botox. I have been very happy with all of the outcomes, which is why I keep coming back.
With Dr. Steinsapir, you will never be harmed. This may sound strange, but anyone who has been harmed by the bad work of another surgeon will know just how much this means. After your appearance is destroyed, it takes over your life, you obsess about it, you continually kick yourself for not choosing a doctor more carefully, and hate yourself for trying to save money on something as potentially life-changing (or life-destroying) as plastic surgery.
Is Dr. Steinsapir more expensive? Yes, but certainly not the most expensive, and anyway you are paying for the time and expertise of a truly top-notch, honest, and decent doctor whose outcomes you can trust. Anyone who asks for my advice on surgeons gets sent his way.
Last, I can't forget to mention Faith, who keeps the whole place running like clockwork, so the doctor can focus entirely on his patients' medical needs. She has worked closely with the Doctor for 25+ years, so knows everything inside and out. She's a dynamo, and very committed to her work. She has to 'talk down from the ledge' a lot of people who have been harmed by other surgeons and come to her desperate, angry, confused, and mistrustful, not sure who they can trust or whether anything can be done for them. This means she is constantly deluged by pleas for help and requests for appointments. I honestly have no idea how she is able to keep up with it all, but am so thankful she had the time to help me! I came to her at a very dark time in my life and she helped me through it, and has since become a dear and trusted friend.
