I had developed an infection after a hip replacement at Shadyside. My surgeon consulted with Dr. Weber to provide antibiotic therapy. The guy has the personality of a handful of hair. Video visits with him were a joke. He was never on time if he showed up at all. Each time, his office staff said he “was running behind.” And when we did connect, he was usually unprepared. When my wound had finally closed, he discharged me from his service, as if that meant the infection was magically eradicated. No bloodwork, nothing. So, I consulted with a surgeon at Cleveland Clinic and it turned out that I had a raging bone infection. That surgeon removed 7” of my pus-filled femur along with the heterotopic growth on it. Cleveland’s infectious disease doctors were amazing and on the ball. I do not recommend Dr. Weber unless you seriously want to lose a body part.
