Dr. Ham treated me for several months. Always seemed to be in a rush and never taking the time to explain anything. When I ask questions she avoided them and talked about something else. She finally told me there was nothing she could do for me and no longer wanted to see me.

It took forever to get an appoinment and the staff wouldn't help move it up, but once I got in and talked to Dr Ham I felt better. No one else has been willing to help me with my headaches and I have tried a billion medicines. Dr Ham recommended botox shots and I hope it will help! It's nice to find someone that isn't just going to give up.

Terrible doctor. She has no bedside manner and talked about treatments for my disease but never did any after two years.

Switched from another neurologist to Dr. Ham and would recommend her to anyone. Great bedside manner and truly cares about her patients.

I agree with the surprised reviewer below. It seems like they are talking about a different doctor. I have MS and I have been seeing Dr Ham every 3 months for 3 years now. She is always patient and kind. She takes a lot of time with me every time and I assume that's why she runs late sometimes. She explains everything very well and has taken time to talk to my husband and parents whenever they come with me. I don't have anything but great things to say about her. Also, Cathy, her nurse is great!

Dr. Ham is a moody, unhelpful woman who spent the entire appointment looking annoyed. She is a coward; she refused to support me and stand behind her own diagnosis. Please don't waste your time with her.

I feel like I wasted five or more months finding a solution. No expressed strategy. No gameplan. Ordered tests only if I asked about them. Nurses seem quite annoyed with any questions. Very difficult to get an appointment. Makes me wonder if she even practices full time. I am moving on to other doctors.

I don't know what was going on at these other appts, but I had a completely different experience when I saw Dr.Ham. The staff in the front were nice and helped me when I didn't understand the forms I was filling out, the nurse who did my initial evaluation (or whatever you call it) was incredibly nice, I didn't have to wait for long periods of time in between parts of the visit, and Dr.Ham herself was so helpful. Maybe it's just that my last doctor never remembered me, never bothered to really listen to my problem, and kept giving me meds that made me feel worse, but I thought Dr. Ham was one of the best doctors I've ever seen. She listened, related, and prescribed me two medications that actually worked. Then she chatted with me and walked me back to the front. I'm beyond sad that after just finding Dr. Ham, I had to move from Virginia, and now have to find a new doctor.

After scheduling my appointment 3 months earlier, Ham told me DURINGthat she couldn't see me since "its against departmental policy".She tried to tell me she didn't have time to read notes from my last dr, and I told her I couldn't reschedule. My parents asked to come back and speak briefly with her (didn't want them there when I went over my medical history)and the nurse told them she'd make sure they got to be present. My parents never got to go back, which I would have welcomed. We left after an 1hr30.My dad asked that Dr Ham call him and who does she want to speak to?Me.Whats she say?I'm "an adult and need to take responsibility for my actions".She misquoted me and said I said the appointment was "a waste of time".I never did that. She tried to tell me her 40 minute appointments are not for parents to which I let her know, they'd only want about 5 or ten minutes of her time. After her ridiculous claims she said "well I don't have to see you this isn't how I run my practice"
