I was referred to Dr Dawson by my family Dr because I was experiencing pain in my right side due to a slip & fall accident injury. The exercises he gave me to do really helped. Dr Dawson took time to listen to me, I never felt rushed. He is very knowledgeable in his field and went above and beyond to help me regain my waking ability. What a relief to be on the road to pain free walking once again. For this I am so grateful, I got to be his patient. I'm a senior lady and walking is my only exercise, so my life is now so good because of this wonderful doctor.

Dr. Dawson was treating me for sciatic pain, when he saw that he couldn't do anything for my pain, he stopped seeing me, that is a very poor and rude treatment, Thanks for nothing.
So now I have to figure out how to proceed, my house Dr. is helping me out, but he is no specialist.

I have had a good experience with Dr. Dawson; he seems knowledgeable and keen to help and will refer you to other health care professionals if necessary. However, his receptionist is extremely rude and unprofessional. I have tried to go out of my way to be friendly and courteous with her but it doesn't seem to matter - she will treat you as if you are a nuisance and scoff at any and all questions you may have. Wish I could give her 0/5 stars...

I agree the receptionist is the worst. Dr Dawson is very nice. But everything he told me in his office wasn't remotely the same as his report said that he sent to my Doctor 3 months later. Not even sure if it was mine.

I can never get a hold of anyone. I leave messages and never get a call back. His tech was great. Very personable and helpful. Same with Dr. Dawson.

I met Drew while he was still at GF Strong to help reduce spasticity in my leg and arm. He injected botox but it didnt help. He moved to Port Moody and had me come in for another Botox injection. The day before I left for an overseas trip he injected my calf. He told me to monitor my leg on the 18 hour flight and should I ave problems to get a MRI in India. There wasn't any improvement. Upon my next visit I suggested surgery, he agreed and said he'd refer me. After 2 months I was still waiting for his referral. I spoke with his rude receptionist and asked if I should find the surgeon. She suggested I should so i forwarded them the contact information. Dr. Dawson still didn't take action. A family friend began to visit him daily. That along with my daily calls resulted in a refeerral. VGH scheduled me for a consult after 2 months. The orthopoedic surgeon saw me and said he'd be able to fix my ankle. 3 months later I had surgery. A year later I'm able to use the ankle Drew tried to fix. His laziness cost me at least 3 years of pain and inability to walk "normally" He really should stick to being a GP.

I agree completely with all of the comments about the receptionist. She is the rudest receptionist I have ever dealt with in my life!!! If I behaved the way this woman does on the phone & in person in my job I would have been fired a long time ago. I like Dr. Dawson but his receptionist is beyond rude, impossible and clearly does not enjoy her job. She should be working in a job where she has no contact with the public at all. I have been leaving a message for over 6 weeks just trying to get an answer about my referral and she has not had the courtesy to return one phone call. I do not understand how she has not been fired because she has nothing but negative reciews, I don't know how she hasn't ruined Dr. Dawson's practice! Maybe this review will get me a response to my numerous phone messages that have NOT been returned. I understand the office is busy, everybody is busy but it's a business and she should be performing like it's one.
